I had my interview yesterday and I only took with me what they asked me in the notice letter.

When u receive ur letter collect everything they asked for and try to level up lol I use:

STAGE 1: Interview letter and both passports (hubby and I)

STAGE 2: Medical Exam

STAGE 3: Affidavit support (I-864)and evidence for affidavit such as:

W2 2017-2019 original can copies; IRS transcript; Employment letter specifying pay rate and weekly hours.

SATAGE 4: Proof of legal presence such as:

I-797 from K1 visa original and copie; Copie of passport biometrics page; Copie of visa; Copie of entry stamp; I-94; Copie of marriage certificate; Uscis receipts.

STAGE 5: Birth certificate and translation

STAGE 6: Proof of bona fide marriage such as:

Original marriage certificate; shared bank account statements; Copie of a credit card statement where I’m his beneficiary; Apartment lease (I’m not in the contract; but our landlord write us a letter specifying that he knows I live here and he approved it and he didn’t write my name down to contract because he was waiting to re-new); Pictures before we got married; Engagement and wedding ring receipts; Proof of his visits to my country; Proof of economic support; Screenshots of social media posts; Pictures of the wedding and our new life as a couple”

STAGE 7: Exact copie of all forms I submitted (I-485; I-131; I-765)

STAGE 8: Form I-944 ( I was exempt; but I didn’t take any risk) that why i say level up.

NOTE: I only have a folder with me and extra to that a Checklist letter on my hand, if she asked me for anything I will know where it is. Hope this help

Thank you for a detailed response, I will save this and prep accordingly. Your prep for i944 is amazing since my PD is feb 21 too.

Hello everyone! Quick question to you all; Today I went to the RMV in Boston to get my ID. I asked what was the process to apply for a learner's permit and the office told me I could not apply with the EAD. He said and I quote "USCIS believes you have the right to work but not to drive. Driving is a privilege" ?!!?!?!?!?!?! He said since the EAD card expires in less than a year (if you notice, your ead card expires one day before completing 1 year), I cannot apply for a learner's. Can anyone share their experience with me please? This sounds absurd.

This is not true at all. My mom got her EAD in the summer as well as the SSN so we went online and booked a learner's permit test for her in NY DMV (due to COVID we had to make an appt first). Then we got there and they simply needed the EAD card and SSN as well as bank statement to verify her identity (didn't even use her passport). She passed the written test and got her Learner's permit already! (very proud of her since she's in her late 60s and studied very hard for the written test in English). Going back to your story, I would check your state's DMV website for learner's permit and get a checklist of required documents. then bring it with you to your DMV appt so that they can't just deny you without any evidence. Good luck!

Folks who got their bio done, did you have a perfect print reading or some orange ones (poor quality). I had like 6 orange ones and even though the tech said it would be fine, I am worried it will be rejected and I will have to wait for a new appointment (which in the current world would be an eternity) . So just wanted to see how common it is to have some poor quality readings but still pass the fingerprint checks.

Hi. That’s totally normal I think. I had 8 bad ones lol and asked if I should redo them and I didn’t have to. I already have my EAD

Thank you so much for the detailed post! For the medical exam, since you’re adjusting from K1, did you just bring vaccination records from when you had your medical in your home country?

Thank you so much again!

what is stage=2 : medical exam? . I submitted medical document at custom border when I entered US on k1 visa. Then I send my vaccination record with my i 485 application form. Is there anything else which is required?

My case status changed from "Finger Print Received" to "Finger Prints are Taken" today. 24 hours to update from Biometrics Appointment

Mine is sill the same, and did you guys noticed that now it’s impossible to get through agent when you call USCIS, when you say I want to speak with representative, she saying something like, you can get more information talking to me, what else can I help you, and what ever you said, like I want to speak with agent or I need more info about something, she said, I can’t help you with that and hang up every time 😂
