Mine took about 10 minutes but they were really careful with COVID, that's probably the main issue. If things were controlled better, we would've gotten the appts a long time ago...

there is nothing done at the ASC that convinced me they are doing anything more than giving you hand sanitizer, wipe the finger print scanner before each applicant.

They are not checking for temperatures or even ask any questions for COVID.  Neither are the ASC folks in Hazmat suits. I was disappointed :)

duh

Nothing for me yet.

We got biometrics weeks ago and it never said fingerprints taken at all. And only updated one of the files. No AP update on the tracker even though we have the card already.

Hi guys!

To everyone who had their biometrics taken today, do you all have an update on your cases? Update such as “Fingerprints were taken”

My biometrics appointment was not today but on 09/22, my status didn't update to fingerprints taken until probably 10/09. And it even says in the notice "as of October 2" 🙄

In mine they were in hazmat suits. When doing the fingerprints they put a glass wall in between you and the person, it was pretty good.

Thanks for your reply, I was slightly confused when I wrote that post.

The receipt they give you there is just the allowed one to submit an inquiry about outside normal processing times and I thought it meant something else.

Anyway getting ready to wait and wait more time..

It's very upsetting seeing so many people that filled in June or July already got their EAD and we are lost in the system 😕

So sorry this is incredibly disheartening! Any updates so far?

Not really, I did reach to my Congresswoman and she is willing to help! We'll see

@ourwildjourney @Dutch_lee @James120383 @Manuel94

Since 10/5, case updates for I-765 have only been shipping related. (i.e. "Card Was Picked Up By The United States Postal Service", "Card Was Mailed To Me", "Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office" and "Notice Was Returned To USCIS Because The Post Office Could Not Deliver It").

Happy to note that most folks here have got their biometrics on file. I'm hoping this translates to a push for most of us also getting their EAD's next.

Today marks the 8 month point for our case and 2.5 months since biometrics. Our special request is still awaiting action.

Congressman's office has been helpful but 2 days back they got a dumb response from USCIS. Our congressman's office had reached out with a status inquiry to find the current location and status of our case. The response they got instead was the standard 'If you want to expedite your case please provide a 12 page proof of expeditious request processing requirement.'.

Thankfully the congressman's office was equally irritated at the response and immediately shot back a reply that this was not what was asked. The waiting game continues for now :)

I completed my biometrics today as well. It was at the Alexandria ASC and it was actually pretty busy, there was about 20 people having their biometrics done at the same time as me

Same in Chicago, it was so busy, like more than 20 people at 8 am , and woman who takes biometrics said, oh I hate this, they had to wait last day. 😏

Just completed biometrics! Our notice was just for the I-485/I-765 (code 3) but while I was there I asked if they could do the I-131 as well. Thank goodness I did because, contrary to the tier 2 officer telling me I "wouldn't need biometrics for the I-131" (which we all know to be untrue), I did actually have a second appointment in the system for well into November. I was able to get the Code 3 for I-485/I-765 and Code 2 for I-131 all completed today.

One more step in the right direction! Now the wait continues ...

02/22/20 -- AOS package (I-130/I-485/I-864/I-765/I-131) sent to USCIS

02/25/20 -- Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox

03/17/20 -- Cheques cashed and text messages received

03/20/20 -- Received NOAs in the mail (I-130/I-486/I-765/I-131)

05/04/20 -- Received I-693 courtesy letter

10/11/20 -- Received biometrics notice (finally! Yay!)

10/21/20 -- Biometrics (I485/I765 Code 3, I-131 Code 2 in Hartford, CT)

10/23/20 -- Biometrics applied to all cases (I-485/I-765/I-131)

10/27/20 -- Case ready to be scheduled for an interview (location unknown 😅)

11/12/20 -- Second biometrics appointment (I-131, Code 2, in Pittsburgh, PA)

01/20/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Submitted

01/29/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Approved

02/01/21 -- I-765/I-131 Approved

02/16/21 -- Interview was Scheduled

02/17/21 -- Interview confirmed to be scheduled at the wrong FO, request to reschedule interview initiated

03/16/21 -- Interview cancelled, entered into scheduling queue for the correct FO

05/14/21 -- Interview rescheduled

06/25/21 -- Interview completed in Pittsburgh, approved on the spot 🙏❤️
