Has anyone received their EAD/AP in the month of October?

when I research the cases, it looks like most approvals for feb filers occurred in August (some September) but there’s a standstill.

Yes. Our EAD/AP approval was 10/8

Thanks! When were biometrics?

On the 5th. It was crazy how fast the SS and EAD/AP approvals came after biometrics.

Of this month??? That’s really fast!!! Congratulations!!!

my husband took his on the 8th of September and nothing😒 which is weird bc we don’t have an RFE so idk...

Yes. It was super weird. Almost like it was sitting there and just waiting for the bio to send out. Call Tier 2 and hit ombudsman and congressman about how far past PD you are and keep calling until you can tell someone is getting it. We really think that helped.

Thanks!!! We’ve contacted our congressman and they are contacting USCIS but we haven’t gotten an update as of today. Will just keep trying. We appreciate you sharing😊

Good morning everyone!

@ourwildjourney, congratulations on the EAD/AP approval!! Such fantastic news :) for those of us still waiting (particularly those who have already taken biometrics), the processing time has gone from 4.5-7.5mo to 4.5-6.5 mo, so they may have worked through some of that backlog already. Dates to submit an inquiry (however futile) are now in April, so if you havent already, you might want to consider submitting one.

My wife and I finally got our interview notice in the mail.

Strange, our tracking numbers have not changed in status at all. They've been stuck on My Case Was Received since March.

Also, we haven't had our biometrics yet. Is this something they can just do at the time of the appointment. The craziest thing, however, is that the interview is October 23rd while my wife's due date for our baby is October 21st. We're hoping the baby comes very soon because we are hesitant to try to reschedule our interview at this point.

I saw on the interview notice a box you can check to reschedule it, but if I did that, I'd have to trust the mail to safely deliver our request. And what if they didn't get the request by the time of our interview. So far we think our baby will be born before our due date, but I'm mostly writing right now to inquire about the biometrics. Perhaps I should call the local office where our interview is, but will they just fingerprint here at the time of the interview?

Sorry, I feel quite silly. This notice IS our biometrics appointment only. Ha! I never read these notices carefully enough.

Keep calling and pressing and hoping and believing.  We just got the combo card in the mail.  Many months to get the biometrics.  FInally had bio 10/5/20.  Then the rest happened crazy fast.  10/8 was the EAD/AP approval letter.  10/8 was physical Social Security card.  Then 10/15 (today) was the physical EAD/AP Combo card in the mail.

Keep calling Tier 2.  Keep pressing congress and senator.  Keep telling the Ombudsman to weigh in.  Something FINALLY worked for us, and actually moved it through very fast at the end.

Next is interview, etc; but that doesn't even matter now.  She is finally free to work and travel and become a human again.

I hope so!

Anyway, since I already had my biometrics done in August, I reached to my Congresswoman two days ago and today I got a response back from her.

They are going to place an inquiry on my behalf. I'll give you guys feedback!

I think everyone on a similar situation should do this too!

Good luck everyone.
