So -- good news! We received our biometrics appointment in the mail this morning! Finally! The notice was mailed on October 1 (arrived today -- 9 days?!) and is scheduled for October 21.

As if our immigration experience couldn't get any better, my fear was confirmed today. I was scheduled at the ASC local to our mailing address (our inlaws'), rather than our physical address. So.. I get to make the 8 hour drive from Pittsburgh to Hartford. Thanks, USCIS, for always keeping us on our toes ❤️

Yay, congrats! So happy for you!! And yeah, my husband had to fly from Pittsburgh to California for a day for his biometrics because they scheduled it near our previous address -.-

Just wanted to update you--my husband had his AOS interview in Pittsburgh on 10/2. We were approved on the spot and received the i-551 stamp in his passport. The officer had said we'd receive the green card in the mail shortly, but our online status never changed. We just checked the mail and the i-485 approval notice and the actual green card (in separate envelopes) were in the mailbox! Our status still says "interview was scheduled" haha so I don't think the online status updates are reliable. Our online status had been updated for all the other steps prior to this last one. Hope you receive your green card soon!!

I got the approval notice for both I-485 and I-130 (in two separate envelopes) in the mail yesterday and the case tracker did update! GC coming soon!

This is exciting! So many Pittsburgh filers coming forward lately -- that's our field office too!! Congratulations ❤️ :)

I can't believe they make you go all the way to Hartford - hopefully they can schedule your interview in Pittsburgh - seems like they process it very quickly right after the interview and I had a really nice officer for the interview.

For the record- my EAD and AP never got approved. I filed for expedite back in May, faxed stuff in, and got denied 3 weeks later. I also had two biometrics appointment that was applied to the EAD and AP separately, in August and in Sept. But one of those must be absolutely useless since I didn't ever get the combo card.

Good luck to everyone - it'll be your turn soon!

Our interview was just scheduled!!! I can’t believe it! I’m shocked because our case status didn’t update saying interview is scheduled. It’s for the end of this month! My hubby’s birthday is a few days before so this is an awesome birthday present!

For people who have had their interviews, where does the I-130 fall into place? Is that approved at the interview or is that a separate process?

How did you reach for your congressman? They normally have a website with a section to contact them and select a category like immigration

So sorry to hear that! Have you tried reaching out to your congressman, like what others suggested? Or just keep calling them until you get someone who is actually interested to help. Hoping you’ll hear something soon! Can’t imagine how frustrating this must be for you.
