I read Reddit and called USCIS this morning and asked them to reschedule the biometrics finally. Tier 1 officer didn't connect me to Tier 2, they connected me to another Tier 1, and only then to Tier 2. Both tier 1 said to wait 90 days and call them after 90 days if I won't receive an appointment. Tier 2 was in a hurry and obviously didn't care, only told me to mail the original notice to them.  Every time I was talking to Tier 2, I was getting different guidance. They already promise that they will schedule, and if I won't receive it in one week, then just call them again. Later they did some requests, and the request never was answered, tier 1 confirmed it today. Today they say to wait 90 days and call them and mail the original notice.

Did someone send a biometric notice to USCIS and asked USCIS to reschedule? Did it help to be rescheduled?

Today I received different guidance when I was calling USCIS. One is to wait 90 days and then call them. The second is to send original biometric notice to them and give them 90 days to reply to it. I'm confused because if I will send this notice, will my 90 days clock will be reset?

I don't think the 90 day clock resets. I think their original goal was to reschedule all the backlogged biometrics within 90 days of the ASCs reopening, but clearly their system for rescheduling them has gone awry, given that so many of us are still waiting and they aren't going in order of priority date. If you have an original notice, I'd send it in with the reschedule box checked and hope for the best; I know there have been some success stories with that (and I do believe someone in this thread did this successfully, but I don't remember who).

If no biometrics after the 90 days of opening (October 23 for us!) I'd still call and inquire as instructed :)

02/22/20 -- AOS package (I-130/I-485/I-864/I-765/I-131) sent to USCIS

02/25/20 -- Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox

03/17/20 -- Cheques cashed and text messages received

03/20/20 -- Received NOAs in the mail (I-130/I-486/I-765/I-131)

05/04/20 -- Received I-693 courtesy letter

10/11/20 -- Received biometrics notice (finally! Yay!)

10/21/20 -- Biometrics (I485/I765 Code 3, I-131 Code 2 in Hartford, CT)

10/23/20 -- Biometrics applied to all cases (I-485/I-765/I-131)

10/27/20 -- Case ready to be scheduled for an interview (location unknown 😅)

11/12/20 -- Second biometrics appointment (I-131, Code 2, in Pittsburgh, PA)

01/20/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Submitted

01/29/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Approved

02/01/21 -- I-765/I-131 Approved

02/16/21 -- Interview was Scheduled

02/17/21 -- Interview confirmed to be scheduled at the wrong FO, request to reschedule interview initiated

03/16/21 -- Interview cancelled, entered into scheduling queue for the correct FO

05/14/21 -- Interview rescheduled

06/25/21 -- Interview completed in Pittsburgh, approved on the spot 🙏❤️

I tried that way back in mid-August. Never heard a thing. But I read about a decent amount of people it worked for, so I still think it's worth a try.

I also never heard anything about my SR from 8/21. Idk why the case inquiry is even a thing...🤷‍♀️

Also quick update on my end. Today, 12 days after giving biometrics, my I-765 status changed to "card is being produced". It skipped every other update, including approval. I-131 still hasn't updated online, but I assume that's approved as well.

Looks like even without a pre-approval, the wait for EAD/combo card after biometrics is pretty short.

Good luck everyone!!

"Card is being produced" is actually the first update. After that it will change to "case was approved", then "we mailed your card", then "the post office picked it up" and then "card delivered"

Ah, I wasn't aware that that's the norm. Just figured every case gets updated differently. I never got the "fingerprints were taken" update, so I thought they'd just skipped everything gor me haha. But then I guess my I-485 also went from "ready to be scheduled for an interview" to "fingerprints were taken". I'll never understand USCIS's procedures (and I don't always think they do either haha)

I think most of us that are with no biometrics and no longer getting RFEs are almost.done with the process, just waiting on biometrics, after that it should go fast. Although I've seen ppl still with no updates after bio but I think that's not the majority

Congrats on getting your EAD! That's wonderful news. I've been tracking the approvals and have been a bit demoralized lately since there haven't been any Feb filers getting approved.

Hello,

We received our appointment letter for Norfolk VA on October 30th! I have a question that i can't really seem to find a concrete  answer.

On our appointment letter states to bring "a completed medical examination (form i-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted)....... We didn't submit one when we sent in the AOS application just used the one from when she entered the country.

My wives friends that have already had their interview are telling her that we don't need to go get a new i-693 (medical examination with civil surgeon) but some others i have talked to are saying to go and make an appointment. She had her original medical done in the Philippines in July 2019, and we filed for our AOS in Feb 2020. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks as always.

If you submitted the form DS 3025 with your packet you do not need the 693. 3025 is the medical form you got before entering the US. Also you must have taken all required  immunizations.

Interview date set for October 27th!!!!!! Excited and nervous at the same time... Nothing like an early morning interrogation while 8 months pregnant 😅😂 So happy to see things are finally moving along and Feb filers are seeing progress 💪💪

Interrogations are a good thing in this case. Keep rehearsing! You'll do fine!!

Hey everyone!

I guess today was my lucky day with a tier 2 agent. He scheduled a bio appt for me! It's on next month but at least I finally have a date! He can't send the notice through e-mail yet unless it's 5 days before the appt but I'm supposed to get it in 10 days on the mail. I guess it's about trying and trying until you get somebody nice. I hope this is true though bc if it's not I'll be really sad.

Good luck everyone!

YES!!  Congratulations!
