I've read on reddit ppl getting biometrics appt with tier 2 but this guy's tried for a whole week to get a good tier 2 who was willing to do something. It's annoying that some of them are willing to do something while other don't give AF about us.

Maybe try again? I know it's really frustrating and it shouldn't work this way but what else can we do? I'm on the same boat and waiting for a tier 2 call.

USCIS is filled with retards. not surprised at the answer you got .

The cherry on top was that she scolded me for searching for jobs, saying "you shouldn't even be job hunting without an EAD". I responded that to my knowledge, job hunting is perfectly legal so long as I don't accept any offers without work authorization, and that I should even be able to expedite my EAD with a valid job offer. She said "well, now you have a job offer you can't take" in such a snarky tone.

Im just so tired of being treated like lesser than. I'm following the rules, I'm following the law, I've been above and beyond patient, I've paid my fees, I've done everything the "right" way. To be talked down to and made to feel so small for such a simple request for help just feels downright awful.

10/27/20 -- Case ready to be scheduled for an interview (location unknown 😅)

11/12/20 -- Second biometrics appointment (I-131, Code 2, in Pittsburgh, PA)

01/29/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Approved

02/01/21 -- I-765/I-131 Approved

So, continuing on that... I got a call back from tier 2, asked about biometrics, told him that ppl were able to schedule appts with tier 2 and he told me that they usually are able schedule when they got it canceled or they either need to reschedule again. He said he didn't have the authority of scheduling a appt out of nowhere, unless you are in those situations. He even talked to his supervisor about it and the last thing he did was to put a request to expedite the biometrics appt and he said to call again if the expedite does not work. At least he was nice and explained all of that.

Wow, even though you werent able to get an actual appointment at least you were able to expedite!! I know that there are good people working for USCIS, but today just left such a bad taste in my mouth (not to mention, another lost job opportunity thanks to USCIS' incompetence).

I sincerely don't even look for jobs because of that. I'm not saying you're wrong but to avoid the frustration, you know? USCIS has been playing with us and I don't wanna nail a good job and get told by immigration that I can't work because they're not working properly. It's frustration after frustration. What about a little empathy from the agent side? Like it's not easy our lives, we're doing everything within the law, what else do you want from me? It's BS after BS. And that's why sometimes we call and be rude to ppl because of the bad apples inside of it. It doesn't take anything to just be polite saying I can't do anything and I'm sorry you're in this situation. They could say that and everything would be better

how long did you have to wait after receiving your EAD/AP?

i actually had to file it myself, i’ve had my EAD on hand for almost a month, and my ssn never arrived.

I scheduled an appointment with the local SSA office and they applied a replacement card for me. 😄

Calling a tier one to try to get a call back from a tier two -- I ended up receiving the job I interviewed for a few weeks ago and they offered me a salary that is absolutely worth trying to fight for. So.. wish me luck! 😅 Already a 45 min wait time just to talk to a tier 1 "information specialist".

Really hoping you’ll talk to a nice Tier 2 who can actually help you soon. I can’t imagine how frustrating this must be for you, especially with a good job offer.

sad part is the applicants are paying their salaries and they have this audacity. hopefully next time they will be looking for jobs when immigrants are turned away. May be i will suggest them 10 $ jobs at  Marlago golf resort in Florida

I just don't understand why, on top of choosing not to help when we all know she could have, she chose to shame me and then rub salt in the wound. Miserable human being. I'll call again Monday and see if I have better luck (really not expecting much, though). I also assume they keep notes on file for each applicant, so they'll be able to see that I spoke to a tier 2 today.

Yeah I know it’s for AOS. I’m hoping we won’t get an RFE to complete it, it’s a time consuming form. We have our receipt from when we mailed it out saying it was shipped Feb 21. That should count as the post marked date, but who knows.

I got rfe for I-944 and that affect my ead too, they stoped to process it

Right so update on biometrics -- the tier 2 officer I spoke with was extremely rude, interrupted me a number of times while I was explaining, and said that she hadn't even heard of the "waiting 90 days past ASC opening".

She said there's literally nothing we can do but wait until it's scheduled. I asked whether or not I can call on day 91 for an inquiry and she repeated that they don't schedule biometrics so there's nothing to do but wait. So that's frustrating AF because we all know tier two officers can schedule biometrics appointments.

Sounds like an officer that I was talking with a couple of weeks ago, officer Rodriga.

I wish you a luck next time. Maybe all February filers will have a luck to be scheduled for biometric in a couple of weeks and interview right after biometric.  Lightning does not strike twice in one place. If we were delayed with biometrics, maybe we won't be deleted with the interview.

Same here! I haven't started looking for a job cause I know I'm going to end up frustrated, lose that opportunity and start all over from square 1! Not all employers are that patient and understanding.  And the USCIS isn't going to empathize with us or even help!

There's better times ahead! Don't lose faith 🥰

Last week I send my application to apply ssn since uscis didn’t send my information to ssa local office. With my parcel, I include the form, original passport and copy of my ead card. It was delivered last thursday and was signed by this person as per tracking history. I called the ssa office to follow up and i was told they don’t have my parcel yet and there’s no specific person (who signed the parcel) working in their office. I am 100% sure the address where i send my application is correct. It is written on my receipt from fedex. 😩

I wish you could reach out to my congressman. He was so helpful. I wish I could help. That’s so awful... 😔
