did it just go directly from fingerprints were applied to your case to card being produced? or did you get case approved notification online first?

My photo was not at all flattering and they did not even offer me a second try. Plus I had evident mask indentation on my face but I could not contain my happiness seeing the card which gave me so much anxiety for 6 months. 😂😂😂

Thank you USCIS for the nightmares.

I am now scared when mine comes.. the Agent just asked to take my mask off, and clicked without warning.. i looked horrible, like i was drunk and high with no chance of being sober.. 😂

Claudia did biometrics yesterday.  It went fairly smoothly.  They didn't allow me in the building.

If you're doing a name change, make sure to take your marriage license with you.

I looked on the USCIS site.  Nothing has changed with her status.  We're in "hurry up and wait" mode.

AP is not only for humanitarian reasons. An advance parole document can be used to return from any kind of trip.

Also be aware that only citizens are guaranteed entry, even if you have a green card, you don't have guaranteed entry.

Secondary screening is also rare for AP.

It literally states the reasons in the instructions for the i131. Telling people AP is for any reason is dangerous!

Have you checked processing time for your local office to see if that’s what slowing down your process.

Hope you hear something positive soon.

At least if filed with AOS after entry on a K1 you don't even need to state any travel plans in the AP application. It's in the form instructions itself. You are free to travel for any reason you want. Even for your great uncle's dog's birthday

My I-485 status changed to "we have scheduled an interview" a few days after I took biometrics on August 14th. When we will receive letter, I'm not sure, but I am assuming the interview won't be for quite some time. I'm going to wait for the interview notice to show up before I do anything else. Also, my fingerprints for AOS/EAD ended up being applied to my AP as well. Good idea to get the biometrics done, though!

Did you get your interview letter?

I just got the interview letter yesterday, for an interview at the ASC in October. Actually, I got two identical notices in two separate envelopes yesterday. I don't know what that means 😑 but they are identical so I am not gonna worry about it.
Along with the AP biometrics notice being sent to an outdated address, the USCIS' mistakes are just endless....
No movement on the EAD other than fingerprints being applied. I really want to work......
Going to do second set of biometrics tomorrow... (for anyone who didn't see my previous post, I called to see if this was a mistake and got yelled at by a rude tier-2 agent to "show up or your case won't be adjudicated further" and she hung up on me)

Seems like a waste of everybody's time when someone else can use that slot..

I guess I should start thinking about preparing for the interview now! Any tips welcome.

I also had so many months of no news and suddenly everything happening at once. Everybody hang in there!
