Thank you everyone for posting updates and sharing your stories. I'm a recent visitor to the forums and a feb filer (AOS-Marriage based).

I never knew this forum existed and to read about everyone's updates give me and my wife hope and encouragement to keep going on.

My bio was on 08/11 and we filed i485,130,131,765 on 02/21. I485 is now ready to schedule interview but 765 is still at FP were taken.

My local CIS is Boston, MA but as per receipt numbers everything is at NBC. I'm hoping to get the card soon as I have been off work for about 2 months now.

Welcome bro.

We have the same Local field office. Had my bio on 08/14. Status same as yours. Kindly share any future updates.

Hey guy, just a quick update that my expedite request got denied due to missing biometrics - big surprise. I know we all were expecting that, but thought I'd let you know still.

I also just got off the phone with a lawyer, who said there's nothing they can do to speed up the process. Sigh.

I'm so excited that things have been moving along for so many here! It does make me feel like my case just got lost or forgotten though. I can't believe I have had no updates since mid-March. No approvals, no bios, nothing. I'm starting to worry that I may be an outlier who literally has to wait those 28-37 months... 😔

Hang in there. It'll happen soon...

We are in the same boat as you. Although we had an RFE in June. No approvals, no bio rescheduled. Just day after day of frustration anxiety and disappointment.

Just want to let you know I also had an RFE in May, it didn't impact much the biometrics appointment since I already did it on the 13th of Aug.

I'm sure you'll get yours soon too!

You are absolutely not alone! We are right there with you --- no approvals, no biometrics appointments (not even an original one that was cancelled), no movement at all. I did submit an inquiry for my I-131 application but am not hoping for a positive outcome. If anything, maybe it'll just reassure me that my file isn't forgotten, gathering dust in a corner somewhere.

I am starting to worry because my OPT EAD expires in February, and we will be royally screwed if I'm out of work. My husband is now back in school full time, so a job is out of the question. Getting married and filing for AOS wasn't part of our immigration plan -- we wanted a long engagement (through his medical school, getting married afterwards, so at least 4-5 years in the future) and I was going to apply for the OPT STEM extension, but of course.. plans change, pandemics happen, OPT applications get lost in the mail; nowhere did we expect to have a gap in employment.. but now, as the sole earner, I'm starting to get anxious about it.

If it makes you feel any better -- at least you aren't on ICE's radar 😅. Yesterday, I checked the mailbox and saw a letter with the DHS seal on it, and got very excited. Didn't read the title next to the seal, which was ICE not USCIS. There is an error in the system that reports OPT employment, so it appeared as though I've been unemployed for greater than the allowed 90 days and therefore violated the terms of the OPT program. It's currently being corrected, but imagine the rollercoaster of emotions thinking it's a biometrics letter when it is, in fact, a letter threatening you with deportation if the problem isn't rectified within 15 days.

I think we should write a book with all of the BS we have to go through in this process.

02/22/20 -- AOS package (I-130/I-485/I-864/I-765/I-131) sent to USCIS

10/23/20 -- Biometrics applied to all cases (I-485/I-765/I-131)

10/27/20 -- Case ready to be scheduled for an interview (location unknown 😅)

11/12/20 -- Second biometrics appointment (I-131, Code 2, in Pittsburgh, PA)

01/20/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Submitted

01/29/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Approved

02/01/21 -- I-765/I-131 Approved

Could it be that it’s the restrictions with your local ASC? Where is your ASC so we can try to check other filers who may or may not have the same experience? It wouldn’t help speed it up but at least we can make sense of what you’re going through?

My local ASC is Denver. I know one other denver filer (March I believe, and EB) who had his appointment 1 or 2 qeeks ago. But yes, it would be nice to know ig maybe there's something else going on...

Thank you. I hope all our cases will have some movement soon.

the frustration is really getting to me. I low-key lashed out at a tier 1 rep on emma the other day. All they say js no and wait, and I am just so sick of it.

And on top of all this BS, I just got a parking ticket cause I forgot to move my car for street sweeping. Like the day wasn't going shitty enough already

Jesus, that sounds terrifying! Glad there's an easy fix for you though! At least one thing that's not just a total mess😅 but I really hope you'll get your new EAD before February!

Here's a fun little quirk.. my receipts on myUSCIS and egov.uscis case status checker show different received dates. How fun! The PD on my receipt correlates with the egov.uscis (and so is the correct date), but it's still disappointing to see how disorganized the online portals are. Why in the world would they show such different dates?

This is myUSCIS:

I think it would be terrifying if I actually had violated the terms of the OPT, but in this case being extremely organized has played in my favour -- I have records of everything and was able to quickly take the necessary steps to resolve it. Knowing that I'm in the right takes the fear out of it ☺️.
