Great news I just got my NOA1 in the mail for my I485 and I765 they came as one notice together as well as stating we have our biometrics scheduled for March 10th at our local office. I still don't have the I131 hopefully they didn't lose this one but I am happy to see we are moving forward.

If you have  less than 14 days left on your I94 they will deny you a chance to apply. 30 days after arrival would still have given you ample time for SSA to accept  your application. Sounds like you got a supervisor who did not know their own rules. Try another office if you have time left on your I94. Otherwise  you'll  have to wait for your EAD.

Yeah our I94 is up. We went to social security 55 days after arrival - is that why it couldn’t be processed ? I saw on the save site that they did pull the information. But They also mis spelled his last name when they were pulling his information in the confirmation letter they gave us today it was misspelled.

we are doing the biometrics on March 6. How long after that will we get the EAD?

I can't really give you an answer on the EAD some have gotten it in under 4 months, others like me are still waiting since September 2019.  The norm is 5 to 6 months.

Thanks so much for posting this! I haven't check my mail in 9 days. Just checked it now and saw that we got a notice for an appointment March 2nd! 😲😲 if I didn't read your message not sure when I would've checked my mailbox. Thank God! Especially since the letter said that if you miss your appointment then the application is abandoned 😵

I just noticed the Biometrics appointment that my husband and I received is only for I-485 and I-765 petitions however we did also apply for I-131 at the same time.. Does this mean that I-131 (Adavnced Parole) maybe rejected potentially? Others of you who got Biometrics appointments and applied for:

I-485

I-765

I-131,

were all 3 case numbers listed at the bottom of your biometrics notice?

No it's fine like it is. No biometrics for the AP since it's a combo with the EAD

@Distantlove718 and @osally1, got this issue as well but rectified now.

Steps I took:

- called ssa 800 # but got nothing from there.

- checked save website and got info that DHS returned my application to SSA Maryland already.

- called local SSA office (Jax Florida) and they processed my application. SSA Maryland returned it approved and Jax office issued a receipt. Card to be sent within 2 weeks.

- went to local SSA office and got my number. Wife sweet-talked the clerk to give it to us verbally. 😉 but still waiting for the card.

Once I got my SSN, went to DMV and got my driver's license which is valid for a year. Canadian eh! 😉

@wingman23 Hi, once they returned it to SSA, did you or your wife have to do anything else? I was not aware of the SAVE website until now and I just checked my husbands status and it was returned to the Maryland SSA office.

Hi, when we saw that our app was sent back to Maryland, I called the SSA local office. The guy that I spoke to pulled out my reference number and he "processed" it and came back to him as approved right away. He then sent us the receipt via mail and got the card a few days after.

Yes the 55 days was cutting it close but the name change definitely could have been it. We did it a few days after arrival and before marriage.
