Hi Everyone!

i have an ASC biometrics appointment on Monday the 24th having been successfully helped by my Congressman ( i think? ) and now I received confusing news today from the Case tracker app that my EAD/AP was..

Approved? I don’t like the mixed emotions i’m feeling right now, like should i be glad? I thought they can’t approve without Biometrics?

Yay, congrats! My guess is they went ahead and approved you but won't actually produce your card until you give your fingerprints on Monday. Like they did with so many people in May/June/July.

My guess is that your card should be produced pretty quickly after Monday, so I think you can celebrate!:)

They can. A lot of people here are in that situation where their EAD/AP cases have been approved but have yet to have their biometrics taken. My EAD/AP was approved on July 16 but my biometrics is still on Tuesday.

Once your biometrics is taken, you should expect your EAD card to be mailed within 7 days.

Your PD is 1 day after me and my biometric date is 1 day after yours. I hope I get approved for the EAD too so I can get the card in 7 days. Congratulations!!

Guys, as you may know my interview is planned. I received a USPS informed delivery mail on Monday saying my appointment notice would arrive. For some reason it didn't arrive but USPS said it can take up to one week to be delivered after being scanned. Today I got another informed delivery mail and nothing again. I called them as it looked like they couldn't deliver it according to the USPS. This lady said its sent back to the USCIS because according to the USPS my address is NOT CORRECT. Can you believe this, I said, all the other mail is delivered from them so what's the deal now, she said yeah you have to check with the USCIS if your address is correct. I said it is correct, all the scans from Monday had the same address and the rest is delivered, you want to tell me they delivered my mail and saw one envelope and were like, well im just not going to deliver this. She said, yeah I don't know what the case is. LOL. Now my appointment notice is sent back to the USCIS and I can call them again om Monday morning to talk to a tier2.

I just wanted to vent because imagine your case not updating and they not delivering mail. How will you ever find out..🤨
Gotta love the mail delivery in this country atm.

I reached out around late July, first to my Senator, then to my Congressman and Explained my situation.

I made sure they were both the Leaders of the district i belong to, and wrote an E-mail. Only my Congressman was able to successfully do something. My Senator’s office just came back to me like they were Tier 1s with the same generic response.

Thank you! I hope you hear good news as well. I’m kinda very nervous right now about commuting there on Monday, regular bus travel will be 2-3hours. But i’m not so sure now since they will only allow a few people in the bus because of the pandemic.

i went to our local target before via bus that was supposed to be 30mins travel only, it took me an hour more. I’ll have to catch the first bus at 5 am for my 9am appointment on monday. 😯

Yes, please. Call Tier 2. Any notices that you haven’t received, they can provide a copy of that notice in pdf form via email.

I dunno what's the deal with not making everything online. Just put a platform where you can see the dates and print the notice, it's not that hard you know.

I thought of that too when they sent me my biometrics appointment via email. Why not go digital? They’ll be able to help save the environment too not wasting paper.

But then, I guess here is the answer and I’ve shared this before:

How sad it's. It'd make easier even for them to do everything online, we need an immigration reform to fix those issues.
