Sadly not surprising. But that blows and further destroys and hope that's left

And on the comments apparently it'll affect biometrics and EAD as well. They said, though, that they'll come back in October but I imagine what's the backlog gonna be then. It makes me wanna ask what happened to Feb applications to be all the way behind but I don't think that's the moment.

Sigh.

I really wish more american go and protest in front of their senators and representatives homes. In the third world they would have thrown stones or cut of water supply to their homes. Need some third world thug action before the senile congress gets to work.

If people haven't already, I would recommend reaching out to your state's senators and congresspeople to ask if they can support Senator Leahy's letter.

Because of the 700% increase in processing times for our EADs, I just got off the phone with a Tier 2 officer, she confirmed the new time ranges are correct, and then she offered to expedite my case, but I reminded her that without biometrics I’m not eligible to have my case expedited, she agreed. Then she opened this Biometrics/Fingerprints case inquiry to the NBC: “As of August 20, 2020, your Fingerprints/Biometrics, referral number WKD23320*****MSC, is currently not assigned for processing.” , which is different from the first case inquiry I made on May 26th named ‘Other Tier 1,’ and the case number started with a T1 instead of WKD. Do you guys think this new case inquiry will make things go faster or it will be useless like my first one?  Anyone has a similar case inquiry directly to the National Benefits Center (NBC)?

You mean bank accounts? We got our joint and my own bank account opened months ago, there was no need to wait for EAD to do that. I even got a prepaid credit card so I could start working on my credit score. Didn't even have a ssn at the time, when I finally got that I just went back to the bank and had them add the information to my account.

I'm sorry I'm a little bit confused about this increase on processing times. Where is this information available?

Sorry to crush your hopes, but I've had the same kind of inquiry open since July 30, and it's still not assigned.

You can find the processing times here: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/. From there, select I-765 and National Benefits Center. Look at the line with c(9) for marriage based processing times.

Sorry my ignorance but how do you tell which one is yours? Is it your case letters?

It should say it on your receipt notice for I-765, at the top if I’m not wrong. It’s usually NBC for everyone

edit: it’s at the bottom of the form

Omg. I hoped it would be some change for a day or so. God now people will probably get their green cards before even getting their EADs

Seriously. For my local field office it says it adjudicates I-485 (FB) in 11-28 months or sth. 😅
