My service request from May 26th for the EAD delay was just completed today. This is their response:

“The status of this service request is: Our records indicate that we are awaiting your appearance for biometric processing. Your case is currently in suspense or on hold until we receive your biometrics. Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for biometrics at their local ASC. Once you have been scheduled, you will receive an ASC Appointment Notice containing the date, time and location of your appointment. You must take the ASC Appointment Notice and photo ID to your appointment. On March 18, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services temporarily suspended routine in-person services to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Beginning June 4, 2020, certain USCIS Field Offices and Asylum Offices will resume non-emergency face-to-face services to the public, unless local Health Officials determine public closures should be extended further. Application support centers will resume services later. USCIS has enacted precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please follow all mitigation instruction contained in that notice. Address Changes: If you move, please provide us with an updated address. For more information about address changes, please visit our Web site at www.uscis.gov/ar-11, and click on "Change Your Address Online." For questions about your application, you can use our many online tools (uscis.gov/tools) including our virtual assistant, Emma. If you are not able to find the information you need online, you can reach out to the USCIS Contact Center by visiting uscis.gov/contactcenter. U.“

This made me laugh. It's a fabulous copy-paste mashup of all the most generic responses in the book. You'd think that a case inquiry would warrant some kind of actual answer, you know?

02/22/20 -- AOS package (I-130/I-485/I-864/I-765/I-131) sent to USCIS

02/25/20 -- Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox

03/17/20 -- Cheques cashed and text messages received

03/20/20 -- Received NOAs in the mail (I-130/I-486/I-765/I-131)

05/04/20 -- Received I-693 courtesy letter

10/11/20 -- Received biometrics notice (finally! Yay!)

10/21/20 -- Biometrics (I485/I765 Code 3, I-131 Code 2 in Hartford, CT)

10/23/20 -- Biometrics applied to all cases (I-485/I-765/I-131)

10/27/20 -- Case ready to be scheduled for an interview (location unknown 😅)

11/12/20 -- Second biometrics appointment (I-131, Code 2, in Pittsburgh, PA)

01/20/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Submitted

01/29/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Approved

02/01/21 -- I-765/I-131 Approved

02/16/21 -- Interview was Scheduled

02/17/21 -- Interview confirmed to be scheduled at the wrong FO, request to reschedule interview initiated

03/16/21 -- Interview cancelled, entered into scheduling queue for the correct FO

05/14/21 -- Interview rescheduled

06/25/21 -- Interview completed in Pittsburgh, approved on the spot 🙏❤️

Massive news guys, USCIS just said that you can now start working with your approval notice even if you don’t have the EAD in hand, as long as you get approved by August 20th 2020 though.

Hi! This sounds great but what do you mean with approval notice exactly tho?

I believe it’s form I-797 not I-797c. It should look like this:

Thanks! Alright I'm not in this scenario yet. I only did my biometrics on August 13. My i485 says it's ready to schedule for an interview. And my i765 says fingerprints were taken. Oh well I guess I'm still on the waiting list then

The approval notice is a list C document and you'll still need a list B document to show identity which needs to be something issued in the US.

It seems on the list B list documents they are allowing Canadian Driver's License. I think I qualify to work with my I-797 approval.
