I feel like I owe you $30.  I was the one who said “what’s to lose by sending it in?”🤦‍♂️

Haha I mean I still think that was good advice. Plus nothing else has worked yet, and I'm starting to believe there is no Tier 3 officer calling me back..

But I'll make sure to ask for a refund from USPS

I follow the USCIS subreddit (www.reddit.com/r/USCIS) pretty actively, and this was posted today. As frustrated as we all are, reading some of these comments reminded me that a lot of the USCIS staff are human and are just as frustrated as we are. Absolutely no excuse for how the administration and higher ups have handled immigration in the times of COVID, but.. sometimes I need some perspective. Absolute crapshow for people on both sides of the desk.

Yes. Been reading that as well. I was just talking with Tier 1 officer (since that’s the only way to start every morning) and I said as much as we don’t want the furlough to happen because it means we can’t work, we also hope it doesn’t happen so he doesn’t lose his job. He really appreciated that. The agents aren’t useless. They are powerless.

Everybody reading this should call senators and congressmen and say to support senator Leahy’s call to push the furlough.

FYI this is not a partisan issue. Having 13,000 people out of jobs is bad for the economy. President Trump needs to LOOK tough on issues for his base. If he TRIES to furlough and the furlough doesn’t happen he really doesn’t mind since he gets to look tough and can say “I tried to end immigration but Nancy Pelosi keeps letting in immigrants.”

Call and push representatives to push the furlough!  Reps of BOTH parties.

Sorry but to be honest, tier 1 agents are pretty useless. All they can do is look at your online case status and see if you are scheduled for anything. We can do that ourselves. Their main purpose is to serve as a buffer to get to tier 2 agents.

I’m not sure how they do it... I just think it’s ridiculous that it has been almost six months and they still haven’t approved us yet. Haha! I requested for it to be expedited but they denied it. I wanted to call earlier too but I assume I’ll just get a generic bs response. I’m thinking of reaching out to our congressman to see if that would help... but I just want to be approved. Why is that so hard? 😅

Haha right! It takes so long. I wasn't sure how long it took even without the impact of COVID... I assumed it was long just like everything else in this process lol. I'm sad you couldn't get expedited! But I agree, just approve us!!!!

I have the same PD. You'll be outside of regular processing times on Friday. You can always check it on their website too.

It might, but I know there are quite a lot of February filers (including me) who have neither been approved for EAD/AP, nor had their original appointments rescheduled. It's just been messy. But I will call them on Monday as well. Good luck! Hopefully they'll be able to give you some updates then

MANY of us are in this mess of a sinking boat with you!  Let’s keep sharing water and snacks as we sink beneath the surface of this rescheduling mess and unneeded furlough. If this furlough isn’t pushed, there is going to be a lot of heartache and poverty —13,000 American workers and a whole bunch of spouses of American Citizens who would love to contribute to the economy

Hello everyone, quick question: How do I check the processing times? I checked the USCIS website and it says that the Adjustment of Status receipted notice is like 2017.. Is that correct? They are still processing people from 2017? (JUST NOW??) That's insane!! Also, california center is way faster than national center and chicago.. How do you file to their center instead? All of this is so confusing.. Thanks!
