February 2020 AOS Filers

Checked this morning -- I-131 at NBC is outside of normal processing times for PDs prior to Feb 25, and I-765 is outside of normal processing times for PDs prior to Feb. 21.

@ourwildjourney : we're in the same position. No updates since "case received" 175 days ago. I'm going to submit an inquiry for the I-131 this morning, and do the same for the I-765 as soon as the PD updates to Feb 25. This is just so unacceptable.

Edit: Just tried to submit an inquiry for the I-131 and was shown this...

Guess I'll try again tomorrow?

I checked a day counter for my case (filing date Feb 24) yesterday and I was at 175 days, so I think we have to wait till next week to pass the 180 days mark

I-485 updated today to 'case is ready to be scheduled for an interview'

I-765 still says finger prints were taken

I-131 still says case was received

Patiently waiting for my EAD to be approved and for 131 to show that fingerprints were taken so I don't have to go back into the ASC office 😅

This makes sense. It's confusing because the processing times shows this for I-131:

Ugggg that is so stressful! We don't have our rescheduled appointment yet, and this is exactly what I feared --we are getting into the appointments for September.  Let's hope for the best, but these could end up being useless.  Or could end up putting us AGAIN at the end of the line when reschedules take a back seat to new appointments again.  I really, really, really , really hope we are wrong about this and it turns out great.

Yea I hope we're really really wrong too. This whole situation is just trash!

Yay! But yes, I was thinking the same thing for I-131 😅. Have you called them about your I-765?

I still haven’t gotten my rescheduled biometrics notice on the mail (It was sent Aug 10). The weird thing is that my attorney had already received his copy. In the past, I would always get my notice 2-3 days before he gets his copy of the same notice.

So, not taking a chance, I called Tier 2 today and asked for a pdf version of the notice. They sent it to me with no issues and they confirmed that I can use the printed pdf to get in during my appointment on the 25th.

My copy doesn’t have the big watermark that you had on yours @fromsweden. I also received the biometrics worksheet via email.

As you all know by now I received my EAD already. Guess what came to mail today- biometric appointment for 765, 131 and 485. None for 130 though. Scheduled to be within 1st week for September (before Labor day). For security reasons will not include date/time.

You should not be receiving a biometrics appointment for I-130 as that is for the petitioner. Only the cases associated to you, the applicant.

Madness!

I'm impressed by how quickly you received your EAD also, mine's estimated to get here a week after they shipped it. USPS is certainly slowed down in my area. This feels like it's the longest wait at this stage.

  • 2020-02-14: Date Filed
  • 2020-02-19: NOA1
  • 2020-03-13: Biometrics appointment (Rescheduled due to conflict)
  • 2020-04-01: Biometrics appointment (Rescheduled due to COVID)
  • 2020-07-15: EAD approved (no biometrics taken)
  • 2020-08-10: Biometrics Appointment (Success)
  • 2020-08-20: EAD in hand
  • 2020-09-21: AOS Interview Scheduled
  • 2020-11-05: AOS Interview + Approval

Actually it arrived before it was estimated. Maybe you will receive surprise in the mail tomorrow.  Sending good juju :)

Nope, I haven't called them! Just going to wait for a bit considering I haven't reached the "Approved" stage yet. Given everyone's experiences with calling, I don't want to do it hahaha. But if it takes some time, I will call. Doesn't it generally take some time to reach the approved stage? (Not including the cases in which you can be approved without biometrics).
