I got my combo card today:

 - they reused my OPT picture from 2014

- no biometric/fingerprint
- my USCIS # is different on the card from my OPT EAD one

Good luck everyone!

Oh wow, congrats! Wish they'd do that for me too, my opt only ended this year. I know for OPT EAD you don't need fingerprints, but did you ever give any at an ASC between the opt and now?

No ASC visits ever. Just one time in 2017 done full biometrics at DHS for UK visa.

So, for those who haven't gotten their biometrics, is this our last week of getting it before the furlough? I'm kinda disappointed already with thinking that I won't get it this month and therefore being stuck in the limbo for I don't know how long. I'll call Monday and try to talk to a tier 2 without having much hope in mind but will try to convince them to see what they can do for me.

What was his income for 2018 and 2019?

It was within the limit to be eligible for the full 1200 dollar stimulus payment

thank you everyone for your comments! I wasn't wondering why I didn't get a stimulus payment, it never occured to me to think I should have since I barely arrived. I was just wondering why my husband didn't, who meets all the requirements except maybe for having shared a household with a non ssn holder for about six weeks in february/march, just when the legislation was passed. I now have a ssn and of course will be filing taxes in the us in future since I live here now.

That wouldn't be a reason. What matters is what is on his taxes. If in 2018/2019 his income was within the range, he should've received.

Hi, I have been a quiet reader. I'm a February filler who got biometric canceled because of COVID. Application support center in Chicago, I have two friends who already got appointments in the same location, both of them filled in June. One friend's filling date is June 25, and the biometric scheduled for August 26. I happy for them, I only don't understand why February fillers were left behind. On the web site, it says ' If you do not receive an appointment notice within three weeks, contact us'. I tried to contact them, and they say to wait 90 days, and that the processing time is 3 years.
We can't visit our family, we can't do anything, we just stuck.

What is your service centre though? Are you looking up the processing time for the right form, i765? I don’t think any service Center has a 3 year lead time on an EAD? Check again, it should be 6 months max everywhere so if you filed Feb you should be able to submit a case enquiry already or next week surely?

I just checked all service Center processing times for you for i765 and none are 3 years!

I was talking to USCIS over the phone regarding the I-485 application, family-based. I politely asked about my biometric that was scheduled in Chicago and canceled because of COVID.  He said that processing time expected to be 3 years for everyone right now, and I will have enough time to do biometric. Probably i765 should be sooner, I don't know, I didn't ask specifically about this form, I asked about biometrics.

3 years it is crazy, they just destroying people's lives and time with all these things. I hope it will be sooner, I expected to have GC this year, and right now I completely disappointed how USA can be unfair. I will be calling them again on Monday in the hope to talk to another person. I think we all should call them, every day if need to make them do their work, or create some petition to protect legal immigration and make it fast.

Good catch Sarge! They're not, unfortunately. The  guy I spoke with when I called yesterday said I can mail in my application including the documents - all original. I said nope, I don't trust USPS lol. He agreed and he said that the best thing to do is to send it in via certified mail, include a paid certified envelope in my application and that's what they're going to use to send my docs back. I said, I'll just wait until your office is open.

I'll  admit it's a gamble but we did it and we got everything back. We of course were on pins and needles the whole time. Kinda glad we did it now made getting her state ID and military dependent ID changed over to her married name very easy!

4 years, 11 months, 2 weeks and 3 days

Citizenship Complete!

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

The main thing you need to worry about now is your combo card, so the result of the I131 and i765. These will give you the right to work and arguably travel (although do your research on Advance Parole) while you await the GC. Assuming these are two of the things you most want to do, these should be you focus and you can’t get those without biometrics. The case processing time for these is roughly 6 months. Look it up on USCIS. If you filed in Feb you must be out of nearly out of the normal processing time in which case you can file an inquiry, which I imagine is infinitely more useful than calling. Also if outside of processing time , your congressman/woman may be able to help. Calling and asking for Tier 2 May help but it probably won’t, and in any case you shouldn’t rely on that as your only course of action. I imagine your rescheduled appt is on it’s way to you in the mail but in case not,  here’s the link you need:

you know USCIS is lying right. Congress has explicity said in immigration law that all petitions must be adjudicated within 180 days of the filing date.  They are making up processing times and getting away with it unless everyone goes to court.  If you have filed your petition more than 180 days , you can go to court and for sure can get judge to initiate action on your case. Desperate times need to be taken court to get a decision. This is how low things have fallen with USCIS.

duh

Here is the law that congress wrote : 180 days is the maximum amount of time that USCIS can taken to adjudicate any petition filed with USCIS. They are blatantly abusing the law by saying petitions take 3-5 years.
