Is there any resource online that you could point me to take a look into this?

you shouldnt have an issue with major banks like Chase, BAC, Wells fargo. have you tried local credit unions ? most of them give you a card if your spouse is a US citizen and a joint account holder

duh

I expect this to be occurring more often due to the kneecapping of the USPS. I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing people receive their appointment letters AFTER their appointments.

I absolutely agree with your statement, just another way to trip folks up, but only the USPS is the patsy!

Happy new week of waiting everyone!

No updates on my end. I did however hear back from my senator's office and they said they're submitting an inquiry this week. I should allow 3-20 days for USCIS to respond, and they'll contact me if they get any updates.

I don't really know if they have any more influence on when I'll get scheduled for biometrics, but at least they didn't just say no.

Good luck to everyone still waiting and congrats to those of you who got good news this week already! 🎉

Aren't we lucky... /s

Honestly, at this point I'm fine waiting for my GC interview. If they take long enough that would at least save me the trouble of getting a conditional CG and then having to go through this bs again in 2 years.

All I ask is for those stupid biometrics for my EAD/AP combo card. 6 months of $0 income is enough, USCIS.

Really sucks for you and I hope it happens soon. What I am kind of seeing is that certain application types are being prioritized over others, regardless of when the original biometrics date was. We were just rescheduled for 8/24 for an ASC that opened 7/27 and an original date of 3/18 (first day closed), so I think we will all start getting called soon.

Thank you!

Yeah, I am hoping that's true. I have seen April filers in my exact situation (F1 to FB AOS) get their appointments at my ASC within days of reopening, and it stinks. But in the end I guess I have to remember that I don't know their exact circumstances and what may cause them to be scheduled so quickly.

I know you've been very stressed too, and I am so happy to read you finally got your date. (Even though it feel late given the fact that your appointment was 3/18). Congrats and good luck to you two!

Thanks man. We are also F1 to FB AOS. I wish you the best of luck.

What rule for bypassing conditional GC? I always ask friends and I dont get when a GC is conditional vs none and what the timeframe is for when you're not considered for the conditional and can receive the 10 year?

My understanding is that if you have been married for 2 years when your FB greencard is issued it is valid for the full 10 years.
