I 'm thinking the same as @fromsweden. I have never been told anything like this. In fact, since they just told me to wait another 90 days, I have maybe 10% faith that all of us will get in before the potential furlough.

@Basil123 I completely understand. This reminds me that she mentioned they may not actually be furloughed until around September and not August. I am not positive about it. I have not researched anything lately. My husband and I are going with Plan B, C, and D that does not include USCIS or US Congress 😏

I’m just waiting until my PD goes out of their time range. That expedite request / case inquiry is just lurking to be unleashed. Only about a week to go.

Same boat here in the next few weeks! That said, I feel particularly guilty complaining -- I'm currently on OPT and have a valid EAD that I'm currently using for work. My heart goes out to all of you who are just sitting at home -- that was me from January to June, so I completely understand ❤️.

02/22/20 -- AOS package (I-130/I-485/I-864/I-765/I-131) sent to USCIS

02/25/20 -- Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox

03/17/20 -- Cheques cashed and text messages received

03/20/20 -- Received NOAs in the mail (I-130/I-486/I-765/I-131)

05/04/20 -- Received I-693 courtesy letter

10/11/20 -- Received biometrics notice (finally! Yay!)

10/21/20 -- Biometrics (I485/I765 Code 3, I-131 Code 2 in Hartford, CT)

10/23/20 -- Biometrics applied to all cases (I-485/I-765/I-131)

10/27/20 -- Case ready to be scheduled for an interview (location unknown 😅)

11/12/20 -- Second biometrics appointment (I-131, Code 2, in Pittsburgh, PA)

01/20/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Submitted

01/29/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Approved

02/01/21 -- I-765/I-131 Approved

02/16/21 -- Interview was Scheduled

02/17/21 -- Interview confirmed to be scheduled at the wrong FO, request to reschedule interview initiated

03/16/21 -- Interview cancelled, entered into scheduling queue for the correct FO

05/14/21 -- Interview rescheduled

06/25/21 -- Interview completed in Pittsburgh, approved on the spot 🙏❤️

That's awesome for you! It's encouraging to see movement -- the squeaky wheel gets the grease, I guess. Our ASC also opened on the 27th, and we've not heard yet, but anecdotally people who have filed as late as April/May have received biometrics appointments at our ASC.

You're the second person in this thread today to mention a 90 day wait from the ASC opening date, and I just read a similar account on Reddit -- a 90 day wait. This is different from what I was told last week, which was 30 days. Very frustrating to see the timeline continually shifting towards longer waits and being powerless to do anything about it.

Our PD is 02/25, and we've not seen any movement at all. No RFEs, no EAD/AP approval, no biometrics appointments, nothing. At the very least, I'd be satisfied waiting with biometrics in the system, because I know our case could be worked on rather than being stalled in biometric-less purgatory.

i have heard a different story from the rep; if you dont have Biometrics 30 days from aSC appointment, they can schedule it. its not 90 days . can others confirm if you get the same message from reps at USCIS

if you can spend 400$ go file a case with a judge. Things will only get serious than. you can file a Writ of Mandamus

Oh, o never thought of that. What would the judge do? Help me get an appointment and EAD asap?

Yes you can file a case with the judge asking that USCIS is causing you a financial loss with not approving EAD and holding up biometrics. USCIS takes court cases seriously. you need some  work done to file the case though if you dont have a lawyer.  just look up the case of very similar

How were you able to convince them to schedule from their end? Been trying to do that every single day and the usual response is always, “We cannot schedule any appointment from our end.”

I just told them that I've seen some moves on my asc and that I was scheduled for March 24th and that i need them to help me because i cant drive or work ti help my lovef ibe with the finance. He says give some minutes and that's all.

Pester people until they relent and talk to you.

Phone calls are better than emails which are copy paste.

I don't think I have the answers because clearly I'm in the same position as you.

Maybe @James120383has more advice

Couple of other things i have done

1) speak to Level 2 supervisor

2) send a copy of my i-485 receipt to Biometrics Processing Unit (BPU) Alexandria ASC 8850 Richmond Hwy, Suite 100 Alexandria, VA 22309-1586. asking them why my biometrics has not been scheduled . No response until now

3) i have filed expedited request for my i-485 based on financial reasons. After 3 expedited requests. Finally today they said  that my evidence was received and officer will review. no status of expedited approval or denial. iam hoping if expedited is approved than it will push the biometrics  to schedule.

4) Tier 1 help desk is pretty much useless. even tier 2 are useless. the only person who really looks into case work is tier 2 supervisor. try the options and see if any of them works

Judge lawsuit option is always there if things dont work and you need to really press USCIS for a decision. i already have EAD/AP so not an issue for me but it might help you folks

February filer here whose package was returned due to outdated forms and ended up filing in March.

Talked to four different representatives using Emma chat since yesterday and got different information from each regarding my biometrics appointment. I had the same question for all four.

My Question: Could you please verify in your system if my biometrics appointment is scheduled?

5/8: Rep 1 - "You have to wait for ASC to schedule one for you". He said he doesn't have any other information.

5/8: Rep 2 (30 mins after I talked to Rep 1) - "You have appointment on 08/21 2 PM at San Jose ASC". He gave this info, then pasted a template message and closed the chat. Guess he just wanted to give the info and be done with it.

5/9: Rep 3 - "You were placed in queue for appointment scheduling on 7/31and you will get notice when it is scheduled. System doesn't show anything else".

5/9: Rep 4 (30 mins after talking to Rep 3) - "Your appointment is scheduled on 7/31 and you will receive a notice". He had no access to see the appointment date or if notice is mailed out.

All I infer is some scheduling happened on 7/31 and I am happy that I can expect appointment notice soon. But I'm frustrated by the discrepancy in level of information given by these representatives and the information they have access to.
