I can’t help but laugh at this even if i am

S T R E S S E D  AF. 😂

What makes the feeling worse, is that i have a friend that just got their Bio appointment and they were MAY filers.

I feel happy for them, but at the same time saddened at my situation. The RFE was unnecessary and unexpected because i am 100000000000000% sure i submitted a 2018 tax return. I always keep a duplicate of packets i submit, even with my K1 application.

Did they want 2018 tax return or 2019?

My RFE says 2018 tax return specifically.

but i went ahead and asked my Spouse to file for 2019 one as well because the situation made me Paranoid.

I see, all should be good then. I just thought they want 2019 only.

iam hoping everyone in Feb soon get biometrics. My first i-485 was rejected even thought i filed everything. Apparently the contractors who work at lockbox assumed i was a different category and denied by petition. they wasted 45 days to return back my petition. After that when i followed up with lockbox via email support they said it was wrongfully rejected and i should just send it back .i was like ####### and all of it has rippled effect. Hang in there.

duh

I am BEYOND stressed and I am the petitioner!

i cannot believe how incompetent this agency is. This is the most frustrating process I’ve ever gone through and no amount of money, time, or effort can make it better. Honestly most employees of this agency should be ashamed of themselves for accepting that they can suffocate immigrants hopes and dreams. I recognize I am in a more privileged situation than most and can weather the storms, but god this is incredibly painful. I think the worst is the emotional toll that it is taking on us — having zero certainty on when things will happen. I was 100% sure we’d be able to attend a friends wedding in Mexico in September (covid notwithstanding) now I am about 3%. My wife have been waiting 5 months to visit her new (and only) nephew. My wife has been out of work over a month. I hate this agency with a passion and I hope that they are required to have SERIOUS reforms and restructuring before our government gives them a nickel of bailout money.

My wife received her conditional Social Security card today in the mail, one week after we got our approval for the EAD and AP. Still no physical EAD/AP card though.

We applied for a SSN concurrently in the AOS packet since we sent it in a few days after our marriage.

cc. @bodgie19

No such thing as a conditional SS card. It's  just a SS card, but I do understand what you meant. You are talking about the statement typed on the SS card about not valid for work without DHS approval right? That statement does not make the SS card conditional. That number is issued for life!

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

i think it depends on which service centers are processing. California is old lazy bum while Nebraska, Texas and Vermont are scheduling faster. i think the issue is WAC petitions and those in Jan/Feb are stuck

So... I have just completed my biometric appointment, and would like to share experience. EB1C case, ASC Philadelphia. PD October 2019, filed late February just before "public charge". Myself, wife and daughter.

Within ASC, there are 20+ cubicles where they can do biometrics. Only 5 are converted to pandemic-safe operation (plexiglass barriers etc.). Out of those 5, only 3 were staffed. The whole thing takes about 10 minutes enter to exit. They did check the appointment date on the notice. There were about 8 families and individuals in there, with new people coming in as we were leaving.

Appointment was for AOS+EAD, code 3.

Interesting thing - my wife's EAD application status (for which I raised an SR a while ago, and it still says "no one looking at it yet") changed to "new card being produced" within 45 minutes of appointment completion. All our EADs and APs were approved in late May.

Thank you so much for sharing !!! Did you and your wife also got notice for I131 too or just AOS+EAD?

Just AOS + EAD, but this is code 3. If you get code 2 then you're guaranteed to go in there again for code 3, and it may come in whatever order. If you get code 3 invite first, second one may not happen
