They'll apply your biometrics to all 3 cases. Don't worry about that

I saw some people only get biometric notice for 131, and no card is produced, and she got an another appointment notice for 485 and 765 two weeks later ,so I am worried USCIS won't produce the EAD card until they got fingerprints for all three applications(485,765 and 131)

I know this question has probably been asked a few times, but maybe someone who has had EAD approval in the past month can answer this for me...

  •   How long after your EAD approval did it take for your SSN to come in (if it came in at all)?

My husband's EAD approval was the first week of July, and he just got his SSN in the mail yesterday, August 3rd. It took almost exactly a month from approval. It came about a week and a half after the EAD in the mail.

Just because they have the biometrics on file doesn't mean that the card is getting produced instantly. It will still take a while

How long does the biometrics appointment take? @MIBogdan, do you have any insight since your biometrics have been completed at the Philly centre?

The appointment itself 5 minutes, with waiting time about 20 minutes

My wife received her conditional Social Security card today in the mail, one week after we got our approval for the EAD and AP. Still no physical EAD/AP card though.

We applied for a SSN concurrently in the AOS packet since we sent it in a few days after our marriage.

Sorry for the dumb question but how are people saying their EAD is “approved” before they’ve had biometrics?

im still showing as Case was received for my Travel/EAD and have had no movement since my NOAs for 131, 485, 765 and 130 in early March and subsequent appointment letters for biometrics for late March which were of course cancelled.

I am waiting for an appt at Fort Smith AR ASC, they opened back up on 7/27 and nothing yet.

Should I call the ASC? USCIS? Is there any point or do i just wait?

so USCIS uses a criteria called 9+2=100 and who ever qualifies they get EAD/AP without biometrics . Just kidding. I have received EAD/AP without biometrics. Its most likely that family based petitions need Biometrics to get EAD/AP while Employment based are getting EAD/AP without biometrics. Again its not a set criteria. so only LORD knows what they are doing.

Thanks for the information - and you’ve never had them taken before? Or have you had them taken before under some other guise? Crazy times.

nothing in the last 10 years. so no idea what criteria is being used. its insane that they dont normalize it but instead some folks are stuck without out card even though their EAD's are approved.

duh
