Be advised  that many strange things happen concerning  USCIS, my wife has had her GC in hand since April  no interview, but all of a sudden we are scheduled for an AOS interview on 8/6 so anything is possible strange as it may seem.

I've answered it in less than 5 days and they make those excuses, such a BS. If there's something else wrong with the case, just send more RFE's so we can keep answering them with all the proof until they have enough to keep moving. This 60 days or more to answer an RFE or to make an update is such a bullcrap, omg. Sorry for the vent.

Understandable! No worries. 😁 i do agree with what you said completely!!

I think they're actually messing it up everything for the amount of processes they have. Maybe more than one person is handling the case and they don't agree with each other so things like that happen.

I don't  know what they are doing, but it does cause undue stress and confusion. But all you can do is deal with it and roll with the flow.

My wife has a friend that is going through the process as well, and she said she had her bio metrics and GC interview done at the same time.

We filed through a lawyer and during our checkpoint, he did mention to us in passing a few cases where the GC interview was scheduled ahead of the biometrics appointment because of the closures and that the immigrant’s biometrics was captured at the field office during interview. We didn’t ask what merits that special case though.

Just adding here that i tried to seek the Help of our Local Senator.

Here is the Response. I replied back by asking about my RFE that is close to hit the “Within 60 days” mark.

and my EAD and AP that’s on stand still.

I'm not sure maybe you're one of those 2 other similar cases I've seen, but people had to reach out to congressmen/senators to get those interviews cancelled. This is because of the mess they have right now at USCIS

I'm  not going to bother with that,  I'll  attend the interview, not really a big deal since we are hyped up now. Just a slight inconvenience it is.

I know this question has probably been asked a few times, but maybe someone who has had EAD approval in the past month can answer this for me...

  •   How long after your EAD approval did it take for your SSN to come in (if it came in at all)?

Hi! I got my EAD/AP approved on June 30. Got the card on July 22 but my (updated) SSN arrived June 17. So mine was the other way around. Idk if this helps but USCIS is a mess now so 🤷🏻‍♀️
