My RFE request was issued on April 24, response received May 18 (status updated). I plan to call them after I'm done with biometrics (Aug 5). Without biometrics there is no point calling them, they will tell you all kinds of useless stuff but they cannot proceed with adjudication without the damn fingerprints

Did your status update on the website saying your biometrics have been scheduled? Probably after you take your biometrics they'll update to biometrics been taken.

No it didn't update. I was bugging them and at some point they told me it was scheduled, then I got invites in the mail in a week or so

Just got my biometrics letter rescheduled appointment through.

Notice date was July 28 2020 and my new appointment date is 10th August 2020. ASC is Fort Smith, AR.

Hopefully this will offer some reassurance to anyone who is in approval limbo.

I was approved on July 15th. I'm crossing my fingers that this means that once the biometrics are taken it should swiftly move to producing the card...

I wonder for the ppl, like me, who's got an RFE and the process is stuck for the i-765 and i-131 because it's connected to the i-485 (even though we answered it and it's been more than 60 days) , if the biometrics are going to make AP/EAD approved.

What do you mean by "it's connected"? I was never thinking about it that way... So you say that having an open RFE for AOS will prevent your EAD/AP from getting approved?

This is what the Tiers told me as well, that my RFE is the culprit for all the Delays.

Yep, exactly that. My EAD/AP hasn't been approved yet because of my i-485 which has an RFE and that's what USCIS told me at least twice.

I've answered it in less than 5 days and they make those excuses, such a BS. If there's something else wrong with the case, just send more RFE's so we can keep answering them with all the proof until they have enough to keep moving. This 60 days or more to answer an RFE or to make an update is such a bullcrap, omg. Sorry for the vent.

Interesting to see how this affects those of us who have EAD approved but haven't done biometrics yet. We fit the definition...

We should be in the class

As @David_Norway mentioned, there is specifically an individual in the case that does not have biometrics yet:
