There's an incoming mail today, it appears to be a new appointment letter (not the something like rescheduling notice, etc).

Apparently, the biometric appointment was scheduled to last Wednesday, and the **** ***** representative informed the wrong information.

She should confuse the notice date as the scheduled date.

Nope. My applications were with the old forms.

Ha luckily you didn’t get an RFE mine was sent February 22 and receive 26th but they considered it late which I find ridiculous but I just sent the courier receipt showing it was postmarked on the 22nd.

that is so nasty that they schedule an appointment that close and send the letter using 40 cent stamp that takes like a week to arrive.

another week. no appointment yet

Same. Agents still say biometrics isn't necessary for getting my card but it's been 2.5 weeks since we got "approved" and yet don't even have "card has been ordered". Infuriating.

I just saw someone from my ASC got their appointment for bios. PD sometime late March. Meanwhile I'm still waiting with a 2/24 PD. Thanks, USCIS....

Long time lurker here. We are in the group of the canceled biometrics in March due to Covid and I've been checking here daily. I wanted to post an update and ask for some advice.

First, we received a call from the Buffalo ASC (originally scheduled at the Syracuse ASC) saying that they could schedule us in for biometrics sooner. I've seen some discussion on the moving around of ASCs for people, and it seems possible that you can request to be scheduled at another one if the original office still hasn't scheduled you.

Secondly, I've got a 2-year job offer that starts in the U.K. this January. It seems that we could leave the U.S. with AP and then work through the Green Card process while we're over there. Or, do we try and expedite with the hope of getting the GC before and then apply for a travel permit for the 2 years? It's a pretty unique situation but if anyone has an idea for how to strategize I'd be extremely grateful!  Thank you, and this is such a fantastic resource to not go crazy - hang in there everyone.

If the appointment letter has an invitation on the last Wednesday, which coincides with what the first representative told me last week, it's also the problem.

If the appointment letter has an invitation after the last Wednesday (saying the new appointment after the pandemic), it's even a serious problem.

The first representative can't read English, and I have no idea how to inform USCIS that one of their employees may not have minimum reading skills to do their jobs.

Either way, the worst problem is the second representative can't use their tool.

(I contacted them twice last Wednesday, and I'm sure both are tier 1 representatives.)

I asked a couple of times to the second representative about whether she can see any indication of scheduling and she said no.

A friend of my friend had a similar situation as you (the first case), and USCIS sent an appointment letter to his old address even he updated their address in both web pages and mail. I don't know the details, but he and his lawyer went to court and USCIS did their job very quickly. I don't know much detail, and that's all that I know.

And, you may need to follow consular processing.

My PD is 2/24 as well, and my ASC Opened the same day too.

although i never even received a biometrics letter to begin with, even before all the closures began.

my ASC however was said to be the busiest, and i looked at their schedules, it says they are closed all the time BUT tuesdays. It seemed so odd.

Your timeline is almost exactly like mine, even with the RFE
