I finally got a new appointment notice for biometrics today. Its for AOS and EAD only, not for AP, but at this point who cares?

My AOS timeline:

Feb 22 applications sent

Feb 24 received

Mar 31 biometrics scheduled in Atlanta, GA, but by that time everything was long closed down due to COVID of course

July 13 ASC Atlanta reopened

Aug 11 new biometrics appointment

At this time my case status on the USCIS website still just says fingerprint fee received/ case received

I hope this gives some of you some hope to also get your new appointments soon. And fingers crossed they are not going to shut down again before every single one of us got their fingerprints taken!

Congrats. Good to see older PD folks are getting appointments

I'm not seeing many Approved applications getting rescheduled, mostly still on received. This makes me think we're in some weird limbo.

Anyways, another week, another $0 income and upset employer. Losing hope.

I’ve been a long time lurker here, but i’ve been recently active in this forum trying to keep up and be updated with all of your cases as well, hoping it would give me hope that mine would escalate as well.

anyway, I spoke to a Tier 1 officer today, which i gladly asked for her to connect me to Tier 2.. unfortunately due to high call demands, She was not able to.

Anyway, She informed me that my RFE that was received 52 days ago is the one causing delays, that’s why i have not been scheduled for any Bio-appointments.

Now i’m a bit puzzled because all this time i thought the EAD and AP were processed differently?

She was a nice officer though, but I couldn’t help but feel defeated.

I received my I-797 approval notices in mail  for my EAD and AP.
Interesting timeline:

EAD and AP actual approval date 7/22. Tier 1 rep told me on 7/23 that this happened but I did not receive any case updates on egov/myuscis portals until 7/27.  These mails were sent 7/22 as well.

I also received update from my congressman’s office that USCIS confirmed that my EAD is approved and my card should be sent to me “really soon”. USCIS rep was unsure if they will require my biometrics to produce the card. The congressman’s staff is still inquiring further about that.

Hoping for the best for this upcoming week.
