i know 4 people who filed in March, April, April and June in norther california that all got First time biometrics in August 1st week. Tell me about the fumes that makes everyone feel.  They are all EB based.

My application is marriage based so that's a new data point. Maybe the Sacramento ASC is less busy than the ones in the Bay Area so maybe that plays a role. Regardless, everyone should have gotten their appointments rescheduled before anyone got their new appointments scheduled. That's just common sense!

Concurrent I-485/I-130/I-765/I-131 Filing (married to USC spouse):

2/23/2020: Sent in application via FedEx (following rules before new Public Charge rule)

2/25/2020: Arrived in Chicago, IL
3/13/2020: Packaged received in return and rejected due to "outdated forms"
3/24/2020: Refiled application with new forms including I-944
3/25/2020: Arrived in Chicago, IL (received by Harper)

4/13/2020: Received 4 late-night texts with case numbers
4/14/2020: Application fee withdrawn from my bank account

4/17/2020: Received hard copies of Receipt NOAs (I-797Cs)
4/17/2020: Requested EAD expedite
4/20/2020: EAD expedite request denied: Case in "in suspense or on hold until we receive your biometrics" +  did not provide evidence of "extreme emergent need"
8/1/2020: Received biometrics appointment notice (for I-485 and I-765)
8/11/2020: Biometrics appointment at the ASC in Sacramento, CA

8/12/2020: Online case status for I-485 and I-765 updated to "fingerprints related to ... have been applied to your case"

8/17/2020: Online case status for I-131 updated to "fingerprints related to ... have been applied to your case"

8/18/2020: Online case status for I-485 updated to "we are ready to schedule your ... for an interview"

9/4/2020: Online case status for I-765 updated to "New card is being produced"

9/8/2020: Online case status for I-765 updated to "Case was approved"

9/8/2020: Online case status for I-131 updated to "Case was approved"
9/10/2020: Online case status for I-765 updated to "Card was mailed to me"

9/12/2020: Received I-797 Notice of Action (approval notice) for I-765 and I-131
9/14/2020: Received my combo EAD card (work authorization and advanced parole)
8/13/2021: Filed renewal application for both I-131 and I-765
11/9/2021: Filed expedite request for both I-131 due to sick father in Norway
12/15/2021: Received email from USCIS for supportive documents (after multiple calls)
12/17/2021: Sent in supportive documents (letter from doctor, hospital appointment notices ++)
12/22/2021: Status changed to "card being produced" (letter on MyUSCIS.com confirms this will be a combo card)

I'm a 2/22 filer and no updates yet 😪

Thanks! @CMM so I know it’s not just me. I see a lot of people have been approved and are waiting on their cards or have had biometrics rescheduled but I did not receive any updates. My status still says “case received.” When I called I was told I should receive a new biometrics appointment within 2 weeks of my ASC opening. It’s been 2 weeks🤔😒

I'm tracking 6 thousand cases filed with NBC around Feb 21, and I can tell you almost half of them, definitely more than one-third, are still in "case received" status. Not sure if they are all EB or FB or mixed bag

I'm a fellow 2/22 filer. Same status on my case. But in approx 3 weeks, our I-765 & I-131 applications at least will be "outside of normal processing times", so we'll have an additional reason to bug them about what's going on.

Yep mine will be out of time in about 18 days. However, I believe that only means you are entitled to a service request, which of course we're already submitted.

Just spoke to a customer service rep who repeated that the ASCs have requested 30 days from reopening to schedule/issue appointment notices for biometrics. He stated that if you haven't received a notice within 30 days of your ASC reopening, contact USCIS. He said that the ASC is responsible for scheduling the biometrics appointments, but since applicants have no way of directly contacting ASCs independently, USCIS is able to reach out on their [the beneficiary's] behalf and inquire about cases not being rescheduled within the 30 day timeframe.

I know this isn't helpful on its face, but at the very least it gives a loose idea of how much longer we're expected to wait without having any recourse. I'm also frustrated at the lack of transparency and communication from USCIS regarding how rescheduling will be happening.

02/22/20 -- AOS package (I-130/I-485/I-864/I-765/I-131) sent to USCIS

02/25/20 -- Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox

03/17/20 -- Cheques cashed and text messages received

03/20/20 -- Received NOAs in the mail (I-130/I-486/I-765/I-131)

05/04/20 -- Received I-693 courtesy letter

10/11/20 -- Received biometrics notice (finally! Yay!)

10/21/20 -- Biometrics (I485/I765 Code 3, I-131 Code 2 in Hartford, CT)

10/23/20 -- Biometrics applied to all cases (I-485/I-765/I-131)

10/27/20 -- Case ready to be scheduled for an interview (location unknown 😅)

11/12/20 -- Second biometrics appointment (I-131, Code 2, in Pittsburgh, PA)

01/20/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Submitted

01/29/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Approved

02/01/21 -- I-765/I-131 Approved

02/16/21 -- Interview was Scheduled

02/17/21 -- Interview confirmed to be scheduled at the wrong FO, request to reschedule interview initiated

03/16/21 -- Interview cancelled, entered into scheduling queue for the correct FO

05/14/21 -- Interview rescheduled

06/25/21 -- Interview completed in Pittsburgh, approved on the spot 🙏❤️

This is so insane. We've already waited almost five months to get an appointment rescheduled. It's not that hard. Also contradicts what USCIS said to congressional rep :

" The USCIS office in San Diego and the Application Support Center are unable to schedule biometrics appointments. Only the Service Centers can schedule these appointments. "

I wish I had a better answer -- I'm just as frustrated as you are. I'm honestly more frustrated at the lack of communication and conflicting answers than I am about having to wait for the appointment to be rescheduled. I just wish they would say "hey, this is the plan" and actually execute it as stated.

Yep. The most painful thing (OK, maybe equal with her being on leave and not being able to work) is that we can't even tell my wife's employer when we should EXPECT something to happen. We can't even say ok so it will be 2 week till our appointment, then 3 weeks till we get a card. We can't say anything because we don't know anything. We're just told to wait and then if we don't hear in 30-60 days file a request which then we need to wait another 30-60 days for, etc etc etc.

Yup -- not to mention, the PGH FO is taking "9-35.5mo" to adjudicate I-485 applications, so realistically we don't have a leg to stand on until 3 years from now..

Those numbers, if they are coming from USCIS website, they mean 50% of cases will be processed within 9 months, and 95% within 35.5 months. I'm not completely sure about 50 or 95%, but something like that. You can find that explanation buried somewhere on USCIS site. So you may get it done within 4-5 months if your case is easy

that is some garbage number they are throwing in. Just pick a number between 1 -100 and they plug that number into processing time.

duh

what happens when 90% of their employees are furlough ? i think it goes from there to 35.5 months to 90 months

duh

I understand and don't actually expect our case to take that long to adjudicate, but it does mean that we can't really complain about how long its taking ..because they then refer back to the processing time of 36mo and say "well, it's not outside of the expected processing time" 😆

Basically, everything is bullshit is what I'm saying .. 🤣

Yes those numbers are just a wall they can hide behind. But with my experience with Canadian immigration 15 years ago, it wasn't very transparent either - you just wait and wait and then... you wait more
