But How did you manage to talk to Tier 2 officer?

Did you ask for Tier 2 officer when you were connected to Tier 1? or you were lucky to connect to a tier 2 in the beginning?

You have to call and talk to a tier 1, and say you are unsatisfied and want to talk to a tier 2. Then they call you back 2-4 hours later. It might be too late today to do it so may have to try back tomorrow very early.

hi ! I called very early in the morning 8 am and I got a tire 1 representative first and I told her the situation and she asked me to wait till August 13th , I asked to talk to a tire 2 officer, 4 hours later tire 2 officer called back, I mentioned I have a pending job offer to both tire 1 and tire 2 officer. Hope this helps ! Good luck !

One last question-- did you specifically refer to it as an "emergency"? Did they ask you to provide any proof?

Also told me that my biometrics haven't been rescheduled yet but that ones cancelled due to COVID-19 would be prioritised. Not sure how that can be true if I missed having mine by 2 days and haven't yet received a new appointment...

 

Similar responses to the ones you got I guess. Fingers crossed they will send out the EAD without biometrics but I am not hopeful.

 

 

I also called today (again). They did tell me that those that got their biometrics rescheduled are from category C33, C36, C37 (I might have missed another category). She said no biometrics are needed for my EAD/AP so they will be producing the card without the former, but they are needed for my I-485 so a new biometrics appointment is still necessary for that.

 

I honestly don’t know what to believe anymore. I’m just banking on that they will produce our EADs without biometrics but that is probably just me being hopeful? Probably too hopeful?

Oh I didn't say emergency, I just mentioned I have a job offer expecting me to start on August, I really need the card and my ASC is opened for three weeks now but I haven't received the reschedule notice, I want to check is there anything wrong because my original appointment is only 2 days after the closure. After that he asked me which day works for me

We just called and despite requesting to speak to a tier 2 agent they would not connect us "due to high call volume". We will call back tomorrow very early.

I double check with Tire 2 officer today, and he confirmed that no biometric no card, I guess my situation because of job loss it can count towards server financial loss emergency category

I wish they had consistent responses but I also don’t think that would make it any better. Lol

 

At this point, I’m probably too desensitized at how much of a failure this immigration system is. Every time I see an ignorant comment from someone on the interent to “come to my country the legal way,” I want to tell them that even the legal way isn’t any better. But that’s another debate for another day.

 

For now, I wait and see if I get lucky in this bureaucratic immigration nightmare.

I don't know the number for emergency category, I just told him I will lose the job offer if I can't get the card soon.  As for the agent response, recently all the Tire 1 I had told me to wait allow ASC 30 days from opening to reschedule I think they are just reading scripts.

No, I mean the filing category/classification for your AOS. Are you on a work-based AOS? Family-based? Marriage-based?
