Yes, let us know if you get through the templated-response wall that a lot of us have been getting from their reps. I honestly don’t think they know either.

 

For example, yesterday, one rep told me biometrics are bypassed and that I should expect my EAD card within 60 days of approval.

 

Another rep told me they’re still waiting for my biometrics but that they haven’t rescheduled my new appointment yet.

I've gotten same responses with the added to wait 30 days after first USC opens (so Aug 13) as a response. No one really knows and at this point I'm really not sure what to do. No help from congressperson. Ombudsman hasn't responded. Falling into bitter depression and resentment at the government that is supposed to represent and work for us (I'm the sponsor).

sounds like they have a list of blah blah reasons at the USCIS helpdesk

 

1) Press 1 you dont need biometrics

2) Press 2 you need biometrics

3) Press 3 we dont know about anything that we do

4) Sorry we dont have an answer. you estimated time is a billion years

My wife's EAD and Travel waiver were both updated today from " New Card being produced" to "Case Approved."

Bio Appt: 03/16

Good News:

I called USCIS this morning and ask to speak to a tire 2 officer, after 2 hours tire 2 officer call me back and help me scheduled a biometric appointment on 8/17.  I received the appointment notice through my email 20 minutes later.  

 

My RD is 02/18 original appointment is 03/20(canceled), local ASC open on 7/13 , I-765 approved in July, I have been waiting on the reschedule notice for very long time.  I told him I have a job offer I really need the card. 

 

I am so shock this actually works, I feel lucky enough to have a really nice Tire 2 officer, anyone in the same situation can have try !!! If you want to speak to a Tire 2 call very early, afternoon they will say they are not available anymore. He also confirmed that they need the biometric to print the card

Does the email that you’ve received from them have the barcode for the ASC? Or are they still going to be sending out a paper notice through mail?

yes it has barcode, the officer said print it out and bring it the application center on the appointment date, not sure they will send a paper notice though mail

Just spoke to a customer rep. They told me if the EAD has been approved (even without biometrics) they will send the card out within 60 days.

 

Also told me that my biometrics haven't been rescheduled yet but that ones cancelled due to COVID-19 would be prioritised. Not sure how that can be true if I missed having mine by 2 days and haven't yet received a new appointment...

 

Similar responses to the ones you got I guess. Fingers crossed they will send out the EAD without biometrics but I am not hopeful.

This is something unbelievable to be honest. There are hundreds of stories on multiple forums but this is the first time I see something like this!!

Thank you so much for checking on me! I'm pretty livid about that. We waited 3 weeks only for our status to change in reverse?! Very upsetting! I will still continue to check the mail box just in case. Also the email said to call NBC if we don't get a card 30 days from the date of the approval notice we receieved in the mail. So I definately plan to have that conversation if it comes down to that. Our approval notice was on the 7th and we got it in to mail on the 11th... 30 days from that time is August 8th so they will hear from me then if we still receieve nothing. 

 

This whole thing is very weird. What exactly did they do July 2nd when they updated the status the 1st time? Its making me think they never ordered it at all...

Did you mention to the tier 2 that there were urgent circumstances (i.e. job loss)?
