Hi, I also tried contacting our congressman for help with the biometrics as they got my case expedited and approved but they just got back to me today with the below: :( (our Santa Ana office opened last Monday 7/20)D1DDEC24-890B-4F33-B3F7-A653FF445B94.thumb.jpeg.37b86cc6118c065f7cd09095d8fdf499.jpeg

First of all, your center opened 7/20 so why are they saying 7/27. Second, it's now 7/27 so they should schedule you. Third, did they really tell you to call the number to reschedule? BAHAHHAHAHA

This would all be funny if it wasn't so sad.

I am now going to the press with what is happening here. I have e-mailed Catherine Rampell from the washington post who broke the story on the card processing delays (https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/how-the-trump-administration-is-turning-legal-immigrants-into-undocumented-ones/2020/07/09/15c1cbf6-c203-11ea-9fdd-b7ac6b051dc8_story.html). I want to light a fire under someone's feet to address this.

One of the more infuriating quotes from that article since we've all already paid our fees, but still can't get processed. Seems like a failed pyramid scheme.

USCIS, which is funded almost entirely by fees, is undergoing a budget crisis, largely caused by financial mismanagement by political leadership. The printing disruptions are no doubt a preview of chaos to come if the agency furloughs about 70 percent of its workforce, as it has said it will do in a few weeks absent a congressional bailout.

“The bottom line is that applicants pay huge filing fees, and it appears that these fees have apparently been either squandered through mismanagement or diverted to enforcement-focused initiatives, to the great detriment of applicants as well as the overall efficiency of the immigration process,” says Anis Saleh, an immigration attorney in Coral Gables, Fla. “The administration has accomplished its goal of shutting down legal immigration without actually changing the law.”

Good luck. It's been over 3 days and my congressperson hasn't heard anything from USCIS

Edit: I have now seen multiple filers getting appointment notices at ASCs opening 7/27 (as does mine). Still not rescheduled here. Really upsets me. Is this just random?

I was able to contact USCIS today and am in the same boat as you! My ASC opened today and I don't have a biometrics appointment scheduled yet either. My husband and I are really hoping to be able to spend a week on the lake with his family in mid-August, but are hesitating to pull the trigger on the plane tickets. We're worried that we'll be rescheduled during that week (Aug 17 -- 21) and then will be out the airline fees.

Very frustrating to be completely at their mercy, not even being able to plan for the near future.

02/22/20 -- AOS package (I-130/I-485/I-864/I-765/I-131) sent to USCIS

02/25/20 -- Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox

03/17/20 -- Cheques cashed and text messages received

03/20/20 -- Received NOAs in the mail (I-130/I-486/I-765/I-131)

05/04/20 -- Received I-693 courtesy letter

10/11/20 -- Received biometrics notice (finally! Yay!)

10/21/20 -- Biometrics (I485/I765 Code 3, I-131 Code 2 in Hartford, CT)

10/23/20 -- Biometrics applied to all cases (I-485/I-765/I-131)

10/27/20 -- Case ready to be scheduled for an interview (location unknown 😅)

11/12/20 -- Second biometrics appointment (I-131, Code 2, in Pittsburgh, PA)

01/20/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Submitted

01/29/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Approved

02/01/21 -- I-765/I-131 Approved

02/16/21 -- Interview was Scheduled

02/17/21 -- Interview confirmed to be scheduled at the wrong FO, request to reschedule interview initiated

03/16/21 -- Interview cancelled, entered into scheduling queue for the correct FO

05/14/21 -- Interview rescheduled

06/25/21 -- Interview completed in Pittsburgh, approved on the spot 🙏❤️

I mean the good news is airline tickets are completely refundable right now

Hello everyone!

I got in contact with an agent via live chat, and expectedly i got a very generic response.. BUT they did instruct me and gave me a date to contact them again for a Biometrics appointment in August, even if i have not received one before.

I filed (and they received it) on 02/24/2020

and they said my ASC has been open since July 13th, if i still have not received a Bio appointment by August 13th, i was instructed to contact them again.  🤔

Hi All - I have been a silent reader here. Also a Feb filer; field office is in Chicago.

My EAD/AP was approved two weeks ago but haven’t had my biometrics rescheduled yet. Original date was supposed to be March 20th.

I just saw a May filer post on Reddit that he got his biometrics appointment scheduled for August 5th (ASC re-opened today). I am very happy for that person but can’t help but feel frustrated for filers like me and so many here who have been waiting so long and even with everything reopening are still kept in the dark and stuck in limbo.

I am hoping this means that I am not required to go to an ASC anymore since someone from May got scheduled ahead of me. Either that or they totally forgot about prioritizing us.

Good day!

My wife’s PD is february 6 and field office is Durham, North Carolina. She has got her EAD and AP approved & social security card.

**EDIT

No expedite request
PD: 2/6/2020
Biometrics: 3/2/2020
RFE: 3/23/2020 regarding sponsors tax documentation and my birth certificate
Courtesy letter for I-693: 6/3/2020
Case ready to be scheduled for interview: 6/8/2020
EAD card is being produced: 6/30/2020
EAD & AP approved: 7/2/2020
SSN card in mail: 7/11/2020
Interview was scheduled: 7/21/2020

Interview Letter: 7/27/2020

Our only concern is that we are suppose to move a week after the interview, would that affect anything?

I feel you!!! There are many March and April filers who received their biometrics appointment already (saw this on a Facebook group I’m following) and it’s just so frustrating. I was hoping to get mine as soon as they started sending it out but 🤷🏻‍♀️

They told me last week to contact them this week if we haven't gotten a reschedule. This week they told me to contact them on the 13th (like you) if we haven't gotten a reschedule. On the 13th they will tell us to contact them in a month if we haven't gotten a reschedule by then. Ad infinitum.

Why is this funny and devastating at the same time?

I really hope that you guys are assigned to different ASCs or something, otherwise it makes absolutely no sense! I see that there are 3 different ASCs in Chicago, so maybe that's it?

I'm in the same boat. However, the interview scheduled for August 13 was canceled last Friday. No idea why - I haven't heard from them since. But my EAD status changed to New card being produced the other day.

That's so interesting. Did you ever get the interview rescheduled? I'm getting the notice in the mail today and hearing your case makes me think that my interview may get canceled as well and my EAD/AP card is still in limbo. My biometrics were taken before the lock down also.
