"Applicants and petitioners whose applications or petitions are postmarked on or after July 29, 2020, should not include the Form I-944 or provide information about the receipt of public benefits on Form I-485, Form I-129, or Form I-539/I-539A"

 

What a mess.. how frustrating for people who filed in late Feb, March, April, May, June, and the first half of July for having to struggle with this beast of a form, that is now no longer required.

I finally got a new appointment notice for biometrics today. Its for AOS and EAD only, not for AP, but at this point who cares?

 

My AOS timeline:

 

Feb 22 applications sent

Feb 24 received

Mar 31 biometrics scheduled in Atlanta, GA, but by that time everything was long closed down due to COVID of course

July 13 ASC Atlanta reopened

Aug 11 new biometrics appointment

 

At this time my case status on the USCIS website still just says fingerprint fee received/ case received

 

I hope this gives some of you some hope to also get your new appointments soon. And fingers crossed they are not going to shut down again before every single one of us got their fingerprints taken!

My PD is 2/24 as well, and my ASC Opened the same day too.

 

 

although i never even received a biometrics letter to begin with, even before all the closures began. 
 

 

my ASC however was said to be the busiest, and i looked at their schedules, it says they are closed all the time BUT tuesdays. It seemed so odd.

@MelOe That's great news, congrats! I have basically the exact same timeline, only my AOS opened 7/20. This definitely gives me hope that maybe I'll receive my letter next week. Thanks for sharing!

Congrats! What is the notice date on your new biometrics? Just trying to figure out how far long they start rescheduling from ASC re-opening.
