What state are you in? I'm in Texas and just got my lawful presence verification in the mail. I went to the DMV with my i-797C and they submitted the request to UsCIS. It took about 12 days and now I'm supposed to go back to get my license. My only problem now is that they don't have any available appointments until December 🙄

you cant do walk in ?

duh

When we requested for FL DL, they only needed our passports, visas, and our foriegn DLs. This is in Jacksonville, FL. Me and my K2 have 1yr US licenses.

Right? I thought that was all I need. I checked all the documents I need on their website and submitted them but they told me to bring I-797 to finish my process. I finally got driver's permit at my 4th time going to the DMV and passed driving test at the third party, but they won't give me the license until I get I-797. This is getting super ridiculous and I don't want to go back there anymore... but I have to eventually 🤮

It's great that at least they are trying to move forward your process (I'm sorry to hear the COVID situation in Texas right now though).

I'm in Colorado. They are really stubborn 😕  My husband talked to one of the supervisors but they won't give me an exception.

I still haven't heard back from USCIS since March. No biometrics appointment or anything. After my NOA 1, no action was taken. But my husband switched jobs during COVID. Does anyone know if we need to submit new documentation? His salary is very similar. Thanks so much for all the help!

You'll have to bring an updated I-864 to the interview and back it up with paystubs and maybe an employer letter.

Still patiently awaiting any news.  Claudia's biometric appointment was scheduled on 3/19/2020 and was cancelled due to Covid.  Still waiting for it to be rescheduled or some communication pertaining to EAD/AP.

I hope everyone is doing well (considering the circumstances) and staying healthy.

Same here. Our ASC is open from Monday. No incoming mail to inform on new biometric date. This is exhausting.

Hi, with trying to get your driver's license in Texas, do you already have your SSN?
