:crying: :crying: :crying: Omg...........I got ahold of Montreal Embassy today to check my case, the guy informed me that they received my packet 3. He informed me there was a 4 month wait to get a interview date, so we could be looking at Christmas before I get there. :crying: ..That completely sucks, we were hoping after waiting this long and things moving so fast that the next couple of months we would have one. Why does it go so fast and then slams to a haul ????

Sounds almost as back logged as China where 6 months from NVC to interview is the norm.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Yup, that's the usual time frame  . Don't want to be mean, but right now they are actually backlogged, so count 5 months. Also, I understand that since you are K visa, it's the NVC who schedules your interview, not MTL... but hang in there!!!! :time:

K visas are scheduled by the Consulate, I think it's the CR1's and such are done by NVC.

Yes, this sucks. I moved to Vancouver from Toronto 2 weeks ago (got a job offer in Vancouver and just jumped on the plane) and asked to transfer my file. Fortunately i didn't have much in Toronto to hold on to. Yesterday i faxed Packet 3 to them and asked for an interview in 4 weeks. Today they scheuled it exctly in 4 weeks - 12 July. I know some vjers did the same - went for a visit to BC, etc. Look into that.

It's been good for you so far going through Vermont ... I just got an interview with Montreal for July 18 .. they had my package 3 processed since February 7th ... initial I129f sent September 28th/06 .. there are possibilities that the process may speed up some from package 3 to interview as they are now only processing k visas as of July 9 (or maybe that was June 9th .. I can't quite remember at the moment) ... but they did this due to summer vacations for staff I do believe.

Met in Cleveland 07/07/05 ... Fireworks!!!

Emails and phone calls until first visit back September '05

Many trips to Cleveland and overnight stays in New York

Engaged 05/07/06

11/07/07 - AP approved and received 11/12/07 :)

11/19/07- EAD approved online and received same day (actual approval 11/07/07) :)
