Hello Guys,

basically my case is CR1(Same sex) and our case is still at nvc. bad things happened and my husband died two days ago. I already send a copy of death cert of my husband last Dec15,2019.after sending i realized that there was an error on his birth date.

Instead of 07/02/1961 it was written as 07/21/1961. I contacted the funeral homes and then they send the corrected death cert and then I send it again to NVC

My questions are:

-does the nvc will just convert my cr1 to widow visa? I called nvc and asked about my case but the agent is not sure too whether it has to go back to uscis for reinstatement or not.

-in some other groups, mostly they are saying that nvc will just convert it directly to widow visa which I am hoping.

TIA.
