Random thread, but I wanted to raise it with people that would understand.

Today while in Walmart I had a craving for beans on toast. So I bought English muffins and a tin of Bush’s beans. I got the vegetarian ones because I thought they’d be like what I was used to.

Oh my! Those Bush’s beans transported me back to my childhood. You remember when Heinz beans were good? Before they removed all the salt and the sugar. I experienced something special today.

I just wanted to share my experience, what an amazing day it has been. I can’t get those beans out my head.

God bless America, land of the beans.

I've tried those Bush beans, I hated them. I don't ever remember Heinz beans tasting like those! But perhaps you're a lot older than me. 😛

It makes me laugh though about the ''English muffins''. I've never seen those sold anywhere in England. It's just made-up nonsense. They taste amazing though, so who cares.

LOL at 'land of the beans'. 😅

Baked beans from the US is one of the things I have totally missed being over here. I can't wait to have access to them again. That and Kraft Minute Rice. :) Sadly, there isn't much over here (foodwise) that I found I've liked better than the US beyond maybe the cheese and lamb. Sadly, I do not care for much else. I do wish there were more options for hubby's favorite foods from here back in the states, but we have found some substitutes when we lived there previously. HEB has a cheese that I love that is very close to UK cheddar. It's called Croc.

Croc cheese is gorgeous. I used to buy that every week at H-E-B when I lived in Texas. No H-E-B where we are now in North Carolina but they sell it in Harris Teeter but it's far more expensive for some reason.

Are you aware of britishsupermarket.co.uk? It works out quite expensive but they have a very wide range of stock. There are also quite a lot of sellers on Amazon selling UK food. Try just searching on Amazon (amazon.com not amazon.co.uk).

When I get cravings for stuff like Twiglets and Monster Munch I just get them on Amazon. It's more expensive but meh, it's worth it.  🙂

Now to find prawn cocktail crisps...

Here you go:

https://www.amazon.com/Walkers-Crisps-Prawn-Cocktail-6x25g/dp/B00MULG362/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=prawn+cocktail+crisps&qid=1593798090&sr=8-1

11 dollars for a pack of 6 😂 you'll have to savour every single crisp very slowly and very carefully. 😅

I've used that seller before. They're good, they shipped to me really quickly.
