Thanks, this is good to know. I think I am worried for nothing and I know that my marriage is for the right reason so I have nothing to worry about.

If you are honest, you have nothing to worry about. Worrying too much might sent the wrong msg. So just relax.. Age gap is normal nowadays so they dont consider it as red flag anymore,as long as you show that your relationship is pure.

Absolutely false.........Consulates do still consider age gap as a red flag.

Red Flag is not an official term, just something that is used on here to denote potential factors that cause issues.

A gay relationship is against cultural norms already (illegal in some places), I'm sure they're looked at differently.

I did not realize that... so they would prefer to marry in the states?

They would prefer to marry an American in order to immigrate to the states.

Of course not, every case is individual, often on here we tend to see multiple issues grouped together, putting a weighting on each one is not possible,.

OK. My husband and I are also different religions, I'm divorced with children and we married on my first visit. We had all of the big so called "red flags" and we never had any issues, not even a single RFE. All the way from filing the petition and up to and including naturalization.

I believe that being prepared and following all instructions closely has a lot to do with approval.

Agree!
