Question about writing/addressing the personal check for I-485 payment

Yesterday we sent my AOS and husband wrote the check payment (personal) in the amount of $1225. He wrote “I-485 application fee of (My Name)” on the memo line of the check. I just read the guide here that it’s written as “I-485 application AND BIOMETRICS FEE of (My Name)” meaning the “biometrics fee” is also written. I wonder if not putting that part will result to any problem?

Thanks!

I just looked at a photocopy of the check i sent, and i only wrote my passport number on it lol I think they have some common sense when they recieve the check for that amount that its for the i-485 + bio fee :)

Haha that’s good to know. I have a non-related question to this check question, just in case there’s a part of the affidavit of support form that were not filled out, are they gonna deny the application right away or will send RFE? I’m reviewing my duplicate copy and there are parts that are blank but I remember that I handwritten them on the original submission. But my mind is playing tricks on me and I’m in panic attack now that I didn’t fill them out.

sorry for many questions. Just pregnant and crazy here lol

if you have missing sections they`ll most likely RFE as incomplete. It would be unusual for them to deny for a few missing sections.

Phew. Ok that’s at least a relief. But I wanna believe that I filled them out because I remember writing hubby’s employer because I can’t type on it because of some problems with the software I’m using for pdf files.

Anyway, I guess we will just know. I’m pregnant and my mind is all over the place because sometimes I forget things (pregnancy brain is real lol).

But thank you so much for answering my questions! You’ve helped me calm down.

Hello! I made the same mistake on our check too, we forgot to write in "and Biometrics Fee" -- did they cash in your check anyway?

I am very worried 😅
