Hi, is there a difference between I-797 and I-797C? We only received the I-797C from my K1 visa petition. Just wondering since the instructions for AOS app asks for the I-797 which we didn't receive. Can I submit the I-797C for my AOS?

You should have the approval form I-797 as well. I would contact uscis if you haven't received a paper approval.
