Hi all,

What do you think what is the best solution in our case. The petitioner is a med school student which is still on the parent insurance. What should the beneficiary do once arriving to the country? What is the best solution for the insurance?

Thank you

Best solution would be to get it through your Employer, trouble is a K1 means you will have a long wait.

Once you have your your NOA you can buy through the Exchange.

so that means that I can't get any insurance until I get employed. Should I just get international coverage from my country for the time I don't get employed

No, please read second sentence.

Now I have no idea what Cover is sold in Bosnia but normally it would be for Tourists, those coming back. There is new Immigrant cover but it is very limited, better than nothing I suppose.

Does one need a social security number to buy through the exchange?
