My fiance did not get his vacinations at the medical exam prior to his interview. He decided to wait unitl arriving in USA. Now he will be here on July 13 . As everyone knows fees will go up July 30. We intend to file before then. My question is that today someone else who is in my city who is also in the K1 visa process and getting ready to file for adjustment of status, told me that to fill out the form the civil surgeon fills out u have to have the vacinations twice . Once then four to six weeks later again... helpsmilie.gif We wont have time for that if he waits untill he comes here. Do we have to have this or can we apply for adj. of status and send in the form later after he gets second shots???

Should he try to hurry and get them in Uk before he leaves then second set here?

HELP....

Also does anyone know a cheap clinic in LOndon . ( pref. near southhall) for vacinations that we need.??

It all depends on the Civil Surgeon, most seem to be OK with signing off on the supplement when the first of the shots have been completed.

Doesn't the UK have free medical?

It might be cheaper to have all the vaccinations done prior to immigrating. Once he gets to the U.S. he'll have to get everything done by a civil surgeon, which may be pretty expensive.

Do the vaccines have to be given by a CS too? i dont know where i read that it could be done at any clinic; my husband called his doctor and he told us to go to the department of health, we called there and they refered us to immigration. I just called a new CS and he told me he can only give me the vaccines if he does the full medical.... this is crazy, what to do now?

You can have them done anywhere, family doc, health clinic, health department, the civil surgeon can do them but they tend to charge a premium for the shots.

The civil surgeon is only needed to transfer the shot record to a supplement form, we did this and the civil surgeon charged us $35

The RFE we just got for the I-693 and I-693A (Mirlan's medical papers were apparently lost by USCIS) states "NOTE: All medical examinations and vaccinations must be conducted and administered by a physician who is on the list of Civil Surgeons approved by USCIS".

Good luck!

Mirlana
