Maybe. The generic term 'financial aid' covers a wide range of products from a wide variety of sources. Can you be more specific as to what kind of financial aid you are interested in?

for going to community college in August as a full time student

There are all kind of financial aid for students, to be eligible to most of them you have to be a resident, I would say once you get your green card, you can apply the students financial aid form. One little hint, it may not work in your state as each state is different, The green card # is in your passport along with the other K1 NOA, when you fill out the form that will be your green card number.

Some states require a year in the states to qualify for resident tuition rate, check with the college financial advisor

I apologize for not being more clear - I'm asking not what you want to use the financial aid for, I'm asking what type of aid and from what source.

Loan? Grant?

From a bank? From the college in question? from the US government? state government? from a private organization?

For some types of aid from some sources you will need to be a LPR, for others you may not. Take Jane's advice to visit the school's financial aid office - if they want you for a student they will find you a source of money.
