So from what I can tell we got approved today!

It showed up on the app first... I logged into the online account and the status had not changed.  I then stuck the number into the general case status check and it showed as Approved!!

Now for MORE waiting!! Yay!!

Off to the May Thread!!

Congratulations!!

Did you receive a letter in the mail as well?

And what “app” Did it show up on?

@Entheos Congrats! What day did you receive NOA1?

Hi baze92. We are glad you are here.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Have any of the February filers gotten approved recently? I’ve been reading the January thread and a lot of people were approved so wonder if they had started on the February ones yet.

second question, if they request RFE it would say on the USCIS case status right? Mine has been saying “we received your application on February 26” and no updates. I know it’s still early it’s only been a little over two months. Just curious if anyone else had a fast approval and if I would see updates on the USCIS site of RFE. Thanks ☺️

According to your timeline and when you can expect an interview I would say you will be interviewing sometime in Aug-Sept, so I don't see a problem in your Fiancé reacquiring a teaching position. Good luck and stay in engaged.

He was thankfully offered a new job which starts late July. Phew. His mom and sister also said they could be joint sponsors if he is not yet actively working at the time of my interview (or maybe rather at the time he has to complete the Affidavit of Support and send it to me). Generally at interviews are they happy to just see copies of the Affidavit of Support and supporting documents (in which case all sponsors can scan and email me the docs) or would you recommend me asking them all to mail me the documents (as a "just in case")? My consulate is in Sydney, Australia. Thank you!

Your embassy is not that difficult as long as you have the proper documents. As for the I-134, Affidavit of Support you should be above 125% of the poverty level, as not to raise any problems. That's for a household of two.

Only expedited applications are being approved in less than 3 months. They are still working on December and January.

Thanks for your very prompt response!  So scanned is fine for the I-134? That is good because it will buy us some time to allow him to send it to me later (and hopefully after he has started new job) and may not need the extra sponsors. His income is above 125% of the poverty level for our household size.
