Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Not to cause panic or stress to everyone waiting but did anyone see the news about USCIS asking Congress for more funding? If they don’t get the funding then they will furlough employees and slow down or stop the immigration services. I really hope this is not true or they get funding 😭😭😭

Wow. That news is about a month old. Yes, USCIS is asking Congress for more funding. Both they and Congress are jockeying for position. More to come. Right now it's a non-issue.

Hi fellow K1ers! I hope you're all doing as well as can be during this crazy time.  I am still waiting for my NOA2. However, wanted to start getting ready for the next step. I have read the guide on VJ on what I need to prepare etc. Skimmed over the PDF that you have provided Greenbaum; thank you for that. But, wanted to clarify somethings.

Things I need for NOA2 to NVC

1. Copy of entire I-129F package.  Is this for my personal record to read over? or do I need to bring the entire package forth to the consulate when interview comes?

2. Original letter affirming desire to marry.

3. Affidavit of Support. My fiance was a student all of 2019 but has since started working this year; so I am assuming that we would still need the addidavit? Should we still supply evidence with his new work for 2020?

4. Copy of NOA2

5. Proof of ongoing relationship

6. Proof of vaccination. Though this is not explicitly stated... should I go ahead and obtain a copy of my vaccination records?

DS-3025 - this is something that I would get a copy from the medical?

Thank you for all your wisdom and optimism! :)

Checking in to let everyone know that we are still waiting to hear. I wonder if this is because I am a dual citizen thus they must check with two countries for verification and perhaps one is being a bit slow to respond. I just don't know.

I'm so happy to see all the updates from those who are through to the next stage ❤️ May the next stage be swift and positive for you all.

A pandemic may have something to do with it as I doubt a dual citizenship would have any significate influence on the adjudication of your case.

Q-1 Not needed unless you would like your beneficiary needs to know more about you.

Q-2 Letter is only embassy specific as most do not ask for one. We don't know what the embassy will require after they reopen. Stay connected to your embassy's web page and their P3 letter.

Q-3 Whether the petitioner is employed or not the I-134, Affidavit of Support is required of every K-1 applicant for the interview.

Q-4 Not a requirement

Q-5 Yes you should have items that will show an ongoing relationship. Certain embassies will ask for it and others will not. Seek out information by reading the consulate reviews. Use your flag under your profile from the left column and look for the link on the following page.

Q-6 If you can get a copy and present it at the medical exam it makes things a little easier on your wallet, your arm and the Doctor.

Q-7 DS-3025, Vaccination Documentation Worksheet will be included in your packet that you will receive with your visa. It's what is referred to as the "Do Not Open" packet that will be given to immigration once you arrive at your POE here in the states.

Being a student of the PDF, you missed the most important item and that where you can get a copy of the P3.

Thanks for your response! I've gotten a chance to read over the PDF now; I am the beneficiary.

So, I will fill in the details as I go through the steps. However, if I can break it down into broad steps that would help me see the bigger picture of what is going on.

1. After we receive the NOA2 approval, USCIS sends my application to NVC

2. The NVC will then produce a case number.

3. The NVC will then send my application to the Consulate (Montreal for me).

4. The consulate, will then send me INSTRUCTIONS for the P3. Of which, the first step is to complete the DS-160 and then sign and date the P3 checklist.

5. Email the confirmation receipt for DS160 and completed checklist to the Consulate. [The documents indicated on the P3 will then be brought to the interview when time comes?]

6. After that, the Consulate will send the beneficiary P4 on how to schedule for medical and interview.

Is there anything I am missing in this process?

In the meantime,

I will start prepping the documents needed for my P3 and Affadavit.

Thanks again for the clarification!

Petitioner completes the I-134, Affidavit of Support. You seem to have the process down pat for Montreal.

Also, we need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.
