Should my answer be no if I’m a nurse without my NCLEX license yet? My fiancé is arguing with me about it. He said I should say yes.🙄

I believe he is correct...im a nurse practitioner here you have to pass the NCLEX then apply for your state license ..so unless you don’t plan on working here in the future as a nurse  or taking the NCLEX here in the future your answer  should be yes ..

Won’t the consul question me about it?

Maybe, They may already will know,  did you or SO list a profession on any application  you filled out, or put student ..are you going to lie if you put no and they ask you about it in the interview.  You haven’t done anything wrong so if your intention is to work here as a nurse you should probably be honest up front, say yes and give an explanation, they should know You will need to comply with national and state guidelines and credentialing to work In the health care field. I wouldn’t take a chance if I were you, if you are going to be a citizen of this country eventually you will be contributing to the workforce after your AOS and you will pay taxes, nothing wrong with that.  Hope this helps!

I need help on this. So we submitted our I-129f and we didn’t see that there’s a typographical error on my middle name. While we’re going through the affidavit of support a while ago we noticed the noa2 with my middle name with typographical error so we checked the form we submitted and saw that it was our fault. How will we fix this on nvc stage? 😞

You won't.  You'll fix it at the interview.  Nothing to be concerned about.

@Greenbaum I have a few questions :)

1. We have used my (beneficiary) office address as the postal address in the I29F application as I had plans of moving to a new place. Will they use this and not my old HOME address when they send the NVC?

2. Should I ask my fiance (petitioner) to update my current home address to USCIS?

3.I am originally from the Philippines and currently working in Australia under a post graduate visa, when we filed the I29F application, I have used the Sydney embassy as the place of interview as I am currently in ACT. Is there a possibility that they'll ask me to be interviewed in the Philippines?

Thank you so much! :)

2. Should I ask my fiance (petitioner) to update my current home address to USCIS? It's too late to update address's. Do as I have outlined above.

Is there a possibility that they'll ask me to be interviewed in the Philippines? They will use the consulate that is closes to your domicile address that is contained in the application.

Thank you so much! :)

See my answers above.

Here is a teaching moment on how to use the @ sign.

If you just want to post something to an individual without a quote then use the "@" sign then begin typing their nickname, in the box at the end of the page, you will see it populate to a little window that you can choose their nik. You may have to scroll up a bit to see the populated box but it's there. If the name appears in blue like this @Greenbaum then you have completed it properly. Good luck and I hope this helps navigate the thread and posts in a much easier way.

One last item to remember is if you fly through the Philippines on your new visa and then onto the US you will be required to take the CFO class. Just a FYI.

Is it true that we are required to fill out and bring DS-5540 on our interview date? @Greenbaum

No because you filed your application prior to Feb 24, 2020.

I have my case number and invoice number now, is it time to complete the DS 160? Also should I be filling out any other forms right now? Trying not to get lost in the process.

I've personally already filed out the DS160, but I didn't submit. Since I'm waiting for the P3 to get to me first so I don't mess anything up.

You could always get your criminal record check thing, and look at the form the petitioner needs to fill out for financial things as well so they can gather the documents they need for that to give to you.

Thanks zaraliaya, I’m the petitioner so I guess I need to look over the form.

Then I should clarify that the DS160 is for the beneficiary to fill out since it's alllll about them, lol

Edit: fixed typo
