Hope you are all safe and well during this crazy time. Not sure if this question has been answered at all but does anyone have any idea how expired i-797’s are being handled considering the current situation?

We will have to wait until embassy open for a clear answer. I tried emailing my embassy and no response. From what I've seen on this site two new intent to marry will be needed and brought to the interview once embassy opens. They should automatically renew the petition once the embassies open

No one knows with any certainty. We think they will address that when they reopen. The least they will except would be a letter reconfirming that you are still planning to marry within the 90 days. Keep your eye on your embassy's website as that will have details for your process.

The Australian government is being so frustrating. The exemption to leave are really frustrating. I have applied and not yet heard back. The flight I put in leaves in less than 24 hours. I have shown proof of canceling everything including where I live and shipping it. As well as my fiances health. Due to this they escalated it to the people who confirm or deny but they said there's no guarantee I will even hear back. Really stressed as I bought our tickets for $800USD and now all tickets seem to be around $3700USD.

To all Canadians applicants for k1 😊 what do you think are the chances for  to have interview in Vancouver? I know that all interviews were done in Montreal since 2016, but I am thinking it makes more sense to have them now in Vancouver because of covid 😁😬, well for those that live closer to Vancouver then Montreal 😁🙏

Great news! Some Embassies will start opening beginning July 15 for routine visa processing depending on local conditions according to the US department of State. Check Travel Gov Twitter :) Our patience has not been in vain.

It's hidden too. It was only posted as a reply to someone and not a regular tweet.

Not K1 related but hey US embassy Bermuda (https://bm.usconsulate.gov/resumption-of-student-visa-services/) :

DOS has tweeted that they can start reopening on the 15th. I assume that others will follow and get through their backlog category by category. There were only 2 K-visas issued in Belgium the month before the shutdown, so I'm hoping that people didn't suddenly start applying for them en masse and I can get my appointment in August or September.

My fiancee was hoping for an October wedding anyway, so that's suddenly back on the table. I'm excited.

Not sure which you are refering to in terms of the visa types. As much as it is not a great thing, the reduction of several visa categories of EO hopefully will strip off the delay slightly, especially if your application is there sitting and waiting.

Brussels posted

Quote

As of July 17, 2020, the United States Embassy in Brussels is resuming certain immigrant and nonimmigrant visa services, including: IR1/CR1, IR2/CR2, C1/D, F, M, and E.  While the Embassy aims to process cases as soon as practicable, there is likely to be increased wait times for completing such services due to substantial backlogs.  The MRV (visa) fee is valid and may be used to schedule an interview appointment in the country where it was purchased within one year of the date of payment. If you have an urgent matter and need to travel immediately, please follow the guidance provided at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-be/niv to request an emergency appointment.

Applicants for H1B, H2B, H4, L and certain J categories covered by Presidential Proclamation 10052 should request an appointment only if you have reason to believe you may qualify for one of the exceptions listed in the Proclamation here: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspending-entry-aliens-present-risk-u-s-labor-market-following-coronavirus-outbreak/

Not sure if "including" just means those visas or also others, but I guess it's a step in the right direction.
