So I don't know if I just got a not so great CS rep, or if the package hasn't actually left NVC but DHL was not able to confirm anything for me.

I hope it's the former rather than the latter. We were in transit 1 month ago...not to be a jerk, but I would be frustrated to know that those in transit a full month after us are arriving at the same time and we will all go into the same pool.

When I called DHL, I told them that I do not have the AWB but I have the shipment date, the shipper's zip code and the destination postal code. I had a really nice rep who went on not only check the flights (no specific flight number) route that the document could go on, but also educated me how how they operate during this unpredictable time.

P.S I would suggest you try to email the embassy to check? The moment is it 'in transit', it is out of NVC's hands and they will not be able to tell you anything further.

Yeah I don't mean to suggest it didn't make it there or that the hack doesn't work. It's just the person I spoke to seemed utterly confused and annoyed when I didn't have a reference number. Sigh.

Assume that your file has made it to Montreal. Afterall it's just across the pond from NH. Prepare your file according to the instructions. There is no need to be on the phone with an embassy to see if your file has arrived. NVC ships millions of records a year, I doubt that the current system wouldn't serve you the same way it has the others.

Send the embassy your P3. A copy of the P3 is linked below. Comply with what they ask for in P3 (the actual one they send you) by sending them a copy of the signed P3 checklist, your DS-160 confirmation and your Passport Bio. Then they send you P4. Then they tell you to register to schedule and you'll wait some more for interviews to open up, which only happens once a month during the last week of the month for two months ahead UNLESS you are lucky and you scoop up a cancellation.

Thanks @Greenbaum I really do appreciate all of your guidance through this.

Just to clarify on P3. Do you mean send now despite not having Ready? Or once the status updates to Ready (x2). I just want to be clear and not make a mistake.

I'd wait till it updates X2. If you don't see the second update by this time next week then pull the trigger and let's bag a visa with sending your P3. It's worth a chance.

BTW, you do not need to "quote" the person's reply and use the "@" sign. One or the other is fine. If you quote the reply shave it down so it's not so long. If someone needs to know the background, they can scroll back to find the original reply. Life is grand when we use short cuts.

Our case status changed to "Ready" today.  I have submitted our DS-160, but so far there are no open interview slots available.  We have not received the P3 packet from the Embassy (though we already have it from Greenbaum and others).  Colombia's official quarantine is currently scheduled to end April 26.  We'll see if that gets extended, but I am guessing the Embassy won't open up the interview window until the quarantine ends.  Of course, this is just my speculation...

Anyway, I'm still happy that our case is continuing through the process.  It appears now I just need to wait and keep checking the interview window everyday to see if anything has opened up.

Sydney doesn't let you schedule interviews as they do it for you. So seeing all of you guys scheduling interviews makes me jealous to say the least! Although I am not legally allowed to travel to NSW for the interview or leave the country either so..

But don't worry mine hasn't changed to ready and it shipped a month ago so you are not alone.

I just logged into the usvisa-info website to see if appointments were available, and shockingly there is--but in August.  I am tempted to take it but was curious if anyone knows if I would be able to change the date if an earlier appointment comes up?  Does the website allow for this?  I'm specifically talking about the US Visa-Info website.  Thanks!

Grab that appointment as there will be a rush and you will only get pushed further and further in the year. Yes, you can change your appointment date if one opens earlier. You must cancel your current appointment then rush and grab the new one. It's a good idea to see that a date is open than cancel your appointment and schedule the new one. Don't waste time during the cancel and rescheduling as someone might grab that date before you. Some embassies will let you cancel and reschedule two times before they penalize you with another fee payment and 90 day waiting period before scheduling again.

Thanks Greenbaum.  I went ahead and paid and the following screen revealed that while there are Consular appointments available, there are no appointments for biometrics available in Bogota.  There are some available in Medellin...  Not sure what to do since that would require another flight.  May just need to wait to see if the biometrics appointments open up in Bogota.

I guess part 2 of my question is -- can the biometrics/ASC appointment also be rescheduled?

If so, can this be rescheduled independent of the Consular appointment? (e.g. I keep my consular appointment and cancel the ASC and reschedule to another date, hopefully in Bogota)?

Thanks!

Wow, my head is spinning. Where do I start? I am not sure what you mean by "biometrics" do you mean finger printing. If so, what instructions do you have as I'm not aware of that process for Borgata? ASC appointment is that the interview appointment? Once I am on the same page as you I can answer your questions but right now I am little confused from your choice of words (biometrics/ASC appointment). Sorry, it's just me.

Sorry for the confusion.  For Colombia, we have to schedule two appointments, the actual interview at the Embassy, and a biometrics appointment (which the website refers to as the ASC appointment).  This is for fingerprinting, photos, and probably other things I am unaware of.  ASC stands for Applicant Service Center apparently.

So, there are currently appointments for ASC available in Medellin and NOT Bogota (where the Embassy is).

I'm unsure if I want to schedule the ASC/biometrics in Medellin and hope that something opens up in Bogota and I can possibly reschedule.

Thoughts?  Appreciate your help!

I went ahead and booked both -- the biometrics in Medellin one week before the Interview in Bogota, and I do have the option to reschedule both as needed.  I'm going to keep checking everyday to see if there is anything earlier.  Fingers crossed that they don't cancel!

We will need to schedule medical in Bogota, so we'll reach out later this week and see what happens with that.

Thanks again for the help, as always.

Send it after the 2nd ready (cause thats when it gets mailed/emailed to you).

Good luck getting P4 though, I sent my P3 a month ago, and since the Embassy is closed or w.e. I haven't received P4. -- Neither has some people in the Canada FB group/other people on here either. -- And normally after sending in P3, you get it after 2-3 business days.
