Happy for everyone who shipped! It puzzles me that they are still processing the first part of the process even though the second is halted. Going to be fun dealing with that backlog.

It'll mostly depend on the country they're sending it to, I'd assume that some will have more of a backlog than others.

Embassies have a skeleton staff so interview and visa processes have halted. Further details are always posted on the embassy website.

Here is a list of things to do that will help you along the way. When you get your P3 letter the combine that with this information.

I have tried your PDF DHL hack but it failed! :(

I wonder if anyone knows about the latest DHL hack or @Greenbaum - any ideas?

I was wondering the same thing....thx for asking!

As stated in the PDF have you waited at least 24 hours so giving time for DHL and NVC to connect and update their systems?

You do bring up a good "caveat" that I need to add to the PDF and that is "your mileage may vary" or better, this hack may not always work for you.

Others have reported the same result. Nothing in DHL but their embassy seemed to have the file.

It went to In Transit on Tuesday morning for me, it should have been a full day.  In searching the forum, there are some topics that contradict the PDF such as no space between the month & year.  Changes in format of only month and year, I haven't found any recent examples to suggest other changes and some of the members have reported success.  I was just wanting to verify I was entering the correct info, thx for the help.  Your PDF has been very helpful on every other category and may be on this one just enough time hasn't passed.  Not impatient, just curious at this point.  Thx again!

I've read different topics on this hack, probably the same ones you are reading, but I haven't verified their differences from mine. I know that many have used mine with success so, I have decided to leave well enough alone. That is, until someone can show me a better way. Remember, with hacks "your mileage may vary".

Hi there!hope all is well on your end. I have a question in regards to paying the fee and scheduling an interview for Chile embassy... we've submitted our ds 160, our case arrived on the 23rd of march but says in transit on the site. Would it be too early to pay the fee and see if any appointments are available for May or June? Or should we wait until the embassy opens to do this? I just didn't want to get caught up in an even longer back log if we wait until they're up and running, to try and schedule.  What are your thoughts? There isn't a packet 3, but we know from them, what they'll need for the interview by the way.

Of course. I don't think mine will be AWFUL but it still doesn't make sense to keep one half going and clog the second half.

Yeah, I have been checking for the last 3 days and the search is invalid. Do you have any other suggestions/alternative to check? Thank you @Greenbaum

I can't, with any certainty say what you should do but I know you want to do something and what you propose would do no harm to your path to the visa. So go ahead and submit your DS-160 as there is no deadline on that document. Pay your interview fee and see what the schedule says. Report back and let us know your progress.

I tried the DHL hack and I am getting no results also. This is the only hack that I know and like I said it works for some and not for others. I wouldn't be concerned. In the past those that didn't get any results found that their record was there at the embassy and CEAC showed "ready" after they had checked in their record.

They responded back to us stating to contact them on the 21st to see if they have any interviews available. Once they schedule us, we have to pay the fee. Weird because the instructions they initially gave us said to complete ds 160 and then we schedule the interview. Guess it's changed for now?

I think they are making that change so they can start with the "first in first out" path. Otherwise it would be a rush to schedule and someone who just got approved is first in line for an interview when you have waited for four months on COVID-19 to subside. I think they are trying to put some fairness back into the process. I like that they are forward thinking. Be strong. This soon will pass.

I hope this is the case for all embassies. I feel for every single person this is affecting - but it would be immensely frustrating to see those approved weeks and months after others first in line for interviews.

Fingers crossed for good and fair things. And for everyone's health and safety.
