Wheeeee!!!!

I've been checking CEAC for weeks now without much hope for any movement during this pandemic.  Love & behold the status changed to "In Transit" this morning!!  HALLELUJAH!!!

The Jamaican embassy may not be processing much, but at least it will be there and ready when they do! 😁💟🥰

We just received our email from the NVC and the website has been updated to say it is In Transit to the Embassy in Bogota--gracias a dios! This is great news, considering they told me last week that they wouldn't be sending any more applications to the Embassy.

Now we'll just have to wait to see what the Embassy does.  I have to imagine that they will start working in some capacity again.  They have been tweeting for like two weeks about getting US Citizens out of Colombia, and there was just a "final" emergency flight out.  We shall see... anyway, it's great to receive some happy news these days. 😁

So we just got an email saying that our case was forwarded to the embassy, which came as a total surprise since we didn't even know it arrived there.

As far as timing goes, this is perfect, since the embassy's closed anyway and it might get there a little before they reopen.

I actually scheduled on March 27th but they canceled it. And I received a mail on them rescheduling me on May.

This is good news.  Maybe we will go ahead and complete the DS-160 and pay the fees, then maybe we can see the new schedule calendar.  Or at least get an email about it soon.  Still hoping Korea keeps improving and opens again soon.

Mine too! In Transit today! I cannot believe it!!! I speculate that even though the interview is not conducted, doesn't mean that they won't send out the packet 3... after all, they are still working, right @Greenbaum?

Embassies have a skeleton staff so interview and visa processes have halted. Further details are always posted on the embassy website.

Here is a list of things to do that will help you along the way. When you get your P3 letter the combine that with this information.

Before you get to far ahead of yourself, are you aware of some of the requirements for the DS-160 is advocating that be completed properly or your interview will be canceled? Let's take a breather and do our do diligence in determining the next steps to prepare for the interview so we don't end up causing more delays to ourselves.

Like the other posters from the last 24 or so hour our status finally changed from "At NVC" to "In Transit", i have been calling since week five to see if there was any information. To be fair, everyone we spoke to and every email we sent was answered promptly and the people were truely sympathetic to the things going on. I know that in the grand scheme of things waiting is part of process but with the world scrounging for toilet paper, being kept locked away at home or worse have to arraing an unforseen funeral, we must count our blessings as they come. I'm counting this as two blessings. This forum has been a safe haven and a powerhouse of information (a million thanks to you @Greenbaum) and I simply don't know where we would be without it.

Hang in there every one, things are moving forward and we must continue to put one foot ever in front of the other.

Many thanks,

Liam and Lizz

Yeah, we've had everything ready for months.  We were just waiting to see what embassy we would need to go to.  But we have decided to stay with Korea so we might as well get everything in order and completed.  We completed one DS-160 once already for her Tourist visa.  Only some slight changes now.  We can still wait a week or more I'm sure, but I don't want to wait until July for an interview.  Hoping we can stay towards the front of the line if we complete and pay now.  Thanks

Happy for everyone who shipped! It puzzles me that they are still processing the first part of the process even though the second is halted. Going to be fun dealing with that backlog.
