I know there's a federal holiday on Monday....but it's Thursday...

 

I checked the weather, and there's nothing bad over there, so why would it be closed?!

Haven't heard anything. Maybe try again as their lines maybe down or someone forgot to throw the switch  on the phone system.

I just saw online status for my I -129f change to case approved on the USCIS site.

Next I am trying to sign up for "NVC ask "link as a hack to get email updates about status of my file.

Question- I am yet to receive the physical notice of my NOA2 date...does the WAC receipt number remains the same for NOA1 and NOA2? Can I use the NOA1 notice number that I have while entering the info in the "NVC ask" page?

Do I have to wait to sign up with the NVC ask until I get the physical notice in mail for the NOA2?

WAC# stays the same. For the rest of your questions I have answered them in the PDF file. I suggest you download a copy and use it. Keep in mind from time to time I update the PDF without notices so stop by and check the new date against the date you have on your copy. If different download the new version and begin to use.

Thanks, I downloaded the document and it is helpful. Sent it to my fiance. We want to follow the first step to update our emails for NVC contact but it looks like the link is incorrect. Is there a more updated version? Thanks for the document. I overlooked the first post in my excitement so I apologise.

As for my sponsorship question. I am using a joint sponsor and I have a K2. So I understand I will have four copies of the i134. My fiance for myself and for my child and my sponsor for myself and for my child. However, do I need FOUR copies of each of their additional documentation. Or can say one W2 from my fiance be used for mine and my child's form or does each form need copies of the same form. Does that make sense?

Also my fiances dad (joint sponsor) files jointly with his wife. Does she need to do anything or is it fine if it is just him?

Finally, my fiance lives with them but they don't reference him on their tax. Just their joint application. So household size would be the two of them plus my daughter and I for four, right?

Whether your fiance is reference on the tax form or not, he must be included as he is being supported along with you for the co-sponsorship.

Last go to the top of this page and under the tab "portals" on the blue ribbon choose it and then search for your country. Lots of information there.

 

When executing your AFP be sure you use "You would choose the Commonwealth employment/Purpose for your Purpose Type and then Code 33 for Immigration/Citizenship as your Purpose of Check."

Here is the letter that you will receive from Mumbai Embassy. Read it over carefully and follow the instructions. Another member of VJ added some additional information contained below which outlines what he experienced.

Once you received your case number from NVC,  I would recommend you fill out the DS-160 form and submit. Some say the packet 3 letter is nothing just a waste of time the same thing they have mention which you easily get from the USCIS website when you called the clinics to book your medical appointment date they will ask you have you received your packet letter or not. Just say yes and booked the appointment date however you will receive that letter within 2 weeks the day you will get your NVC number.

 

Go on the USCIS website make your account with a password and then pay your fees to Citibank or Axis bank. They will give you a reference number. With that number, you can book your biometric and interview appointment date. The fees are 18,500 and for medical but I recommend that you carry 20,000 with you in the event you need more. Be sure to keep at least 7 days gap between medical and interview.

Alright. One last thing. His brother is currently crashing there as he is in between jobs but is moving back out soon. They obviously don't claim him or anything on tax. Does he need to be counted also?
