Good afternoon all,

I am happy to update you guys our case went from "AT NVC" this morning to "IN TRANSIT" this afternoon.

This is one ray of sunshine in an otherwise very cloudy week.

Keep your chin up guys and be safe out there...

Yes, so does our still say "at NVC" (boo!)...  We also arrived at NVC 3/9 and got our case # on 3/10..

They didn't ship out on Tuesday so maybe this is a Wed/Thur shipping for this week. If so you may still have some hope it ships tomorrow. Keep checking.

Did you receive a notification from NVC or did you check it online? Mine still says "At NVC". 😭😭😭

Also would you mind sharing the link you used to check your status? I just want to make sure I am using the right website. Thank you.

CEAC.state.gov and use "immigrant," then your case number.

Thank you. I checked the link but it still says "At NVC" and we haven't received any emails from them. 😭💔

Your not going to receive any email from them as they only send an email out when your case ships. Your case hasn't shipped so they haven't sent an email

Mine still shows as "at NVC" despite being assigned the NVC number on 3/4.  Hopefully it will ship soon.  I'll feel better when the Embassy receives it, even though I know we won't be able to make an appointment.

Now I am wondering what to do for the next step. I mean I know what TO do but what I should do in the current climate. Obviously as Australia isn't doing interviews I have to sit and wait. So no medical and we haven't finished collecting the dated documents for i-134 as we don't want them to be too old if the interview is months out. I wonder if I should still pay the fee when they arrive though? What would you guys do? My only issue is I don't want it to be a waste as I have two fees to pay and the dollar is dropping like crazy. 59c here to 1USD so it's expensive. But having the payment done and DS-160 means I can get my interview scheduled as soon as they open again. Opinions?

Sit and wait so you don't have to pay twice or do paperwork twice. The exchange rate sucks now but wait, when you begin your journey again the rate will have changed. We are getting one HECK of a stimulus package to the US citizens so that we can climb out of this financial calamity quickly when the Chines Flu leaves.

@Greenbaum I know I am. Just out of curiousity, how do you know they ship out twice every other week? Just curious at the wealth of info you have!

This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2 K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case on wards to your Embassy.  Contained in the PDF below are many tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way.

These are items that everyone asks for, so I thought I just post a PDF of them here for you to refer to when it's necessary.

Hello Greenbaum. Thank you so much for this,  as well as for everything you do for us on this forum. You state that when checking our case on CEAC, we should check it under immigrant visa. When calling the NVC, should we use the number meant for immigrant Visa as well? Thank you.

I would pay the fees and wait. The money would always be there, pending your going to the interview.

Anyone know if the NVC generally updates the status quickly after send to the Embassy?  Or does it sometimes take a few days to update the website?  I'm holding on to hope that they may have sent it and not updated the page yet (it is still listing as "At the NVC" despite being assigned a case number on 3/4).

I know a couple of people who has case number issued +/- 3 days before. They are in the same boat. I received my case number on 16th. I have the same dying question as you too
