I feel stressed! I haven't received any Manila case number yet, I suggested to my fiance to call the NVC and get the case number and he still wants to wait for the letter instead of calling them and aside from that Most of the provinces here in the Philippines are lock down especial Manila where I can do my medical and interview.. I think my papers may be delayed.. 🥺😩😩😩 anyways! Pray and heal the world from Covid-19. 🙏❤️

When I called, the guy at the NVC seemed quite happy to assist me. So your fiance should not feel uncomfortable calling them. Maybe things are different with people getting stressed out by all the delays right now. Your main problem is that even if you could get there, the Manila embassy is not doing interviews right now. There are encouraging reports about the effectiveness of the treatments being tested now, so hopefully this will be over in weeks rather than months.

Just got off the phone with the NVC and she gave me my case number. She advised me not to do the DS 160 until I receive the official NVC notification by email. Should I still do the DS 160? @Greenbaum

You can. Here is the P3 for your country.

I called NVC today and they said my case is still ready to ship and isn't being held or anything so hoping it ships tomorrow.

However, I just saw this

So it sounds like I won't be able to proceed which is sad and has its own set of challenges.. e.g. time lapse.

Hello all,

Just went to my interview this morning at the Embassy. Was issued a Refusal Worksheet 221(g) + Document Submission Form. I'm required to submit all original court-certified divorce decrees for both my fiance and me.  I produced my original divorce summons but only photocopies of our decrees (big mistake). I felt like such a fool - the local officer told me, in the most deadpan tone possible, : "You are getting married - I need to see the originals so you can prove you are both single and legal to marry."

Will be scrambling to contact the county offices for the documents - I do have a few qns:

1) Is there a deadline to submission? My i129f form expires April 15th and I'm just paranoid the documents don't get sorted in time.

2) Should I expect a 2nd interview? I've read multiple posts and it does look like getting the documents to them will most likely suffice.

Terrified as the covid19 situation is unpredictable & future interviews may be postponed indefinitely? There's not much info directly related to the SG embassy - please help!

Thank you all in advance!

Q1 There is not a deadline per say but to have your interview complete by the expiration of your NOA2 which is one year. But currently you are on your first NOA2 expiration date but have had your interview so your CO should not have a problem with the expiration date. So, don't concern yourself with that.

Q2 Here in lies the problem. Looking and reading other's experiences at other embassy's does not equate to your embassy doing the same thing. Staying focused on your embassy is healthier for you. My answer is you probably will not have a 2nd interview as my experience with SG is they do not employ that process. You mail them (refer to the 221(g) to determine how to return) the document in answer to the RFE and they will complete the adjudication. Yes, no one can say how long that will take. Just have to have more patience. Your almost there.

Just an update, the U.S. embassy in Algeria is postponing all visas until later notified only for extreme cases (health related), knowing that there's less than 80 COVID-19 cases. I think similar decisions will take place in other countries.

Hey, has anyone received a notice from NVC letting them know their case has left for their consulate? Our case was received by NVC on 03/09 and I know a shipment goes out today, but I haven't received any notification telling me my case left. So I was curious to know if anyone else received any intel or they're waiting as well.

When I checked online it says "At NVC".

I was able to call them this morning and they were not able to let me know if it would be mailed today or not.

Our case was received by NVC on 02-28-20 and it still says the same "AT NVC".

On a side note, the representative wad unaware of today being the mailing date...

The rep was very hesitant to give me information as well, he also refused to tell me if it would be mailed out today or whenever. I do plan on calling back tomorrow if I get no updates.

I have been using this, not sure if this is the only avenue to get information https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV

Are you using something else or are you aware of another website we can use? If so, would you please share it with me.

I used the same website and mine says "It's Ready", I think everything is slow due to COVID-19; just wait a little bit and try contacting them again.
