FEBRUARY 2020 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to Embassy

NVC has sent our packet to Seoul already.  Our concern now is with the current COVID-19 situation so we are thinking about moving the process to Moscow instead to complete it.  Am I correct that we will need to contact Seoul and Moscow to coordinate this since the NVC is now out of the loop?  Or how does it work?  I thought I saw some people asking similar questions, but didn't see any formal checklist or PDF for this kind of process.

Thanks

Wow this thread is amazing. Thanks so much for all of the help and guidance, Greenbaum. I received the approval on Feb 13 and filled out the form on the NVC site today.

Wondering if I can ask a question. My fiancé is Irish living in Vancouver BC on a work visa. Will his interview/medical be in Vancouver or in Ireland? Hoping Vancouver but I just realized I didn’t really know. And if you have the appropriate country’s P3 I would greatly appreciate it. TIA!!

Medical is done in Surrey, thats the only place in BC.

Can you fill in your timeline? It's helpful for others following along (selfishly, that includes me - i'm not too far behind you in the process).

Hi, is a wet signature required for the I-134 or is a scanned copy sufficient?

Depends on your embassy. Most have reverted to a copy but I'd do a little research from your regional subforum.

We got the first ready for Montreal, waiting for the second ready and will send P3. 💗

Same!

I think the approx wait time now is 1-2 weeks for P3, so a little more waiting for us!

Called just now and received our NVC and Invoice Number.

NOA2: 2/20/20

NVC Received and Number assigned: 3/4/20

I'm going to submit the DS-160 asap, though it's unclear to me when I can schedule my interview.  Some sources say immediately and others say I need to wait until I receive instructions from the Embassy.

Apologies if I missed this, but do you submit the I-134 and DS-5540 with the DS-160? Or just bring them to the interview.

Thanks!

I do apologize, but I am still confused :D It says ready on ceac and that i can schedule an interview. Can i send P3? haven't received anything from embassy yet :D

The box has nothing to do with us. Ignore it. If you want, I can send you a link to a Canadian Facebook group, they have sooo many helpful posts just for us.

Sadly Guangzhou Consulate has already instructed NVC not to send any visa packets until after they are fully operational and are caught up on the backlog that was created when they cancelled all interviews and reduced to skeleton staffing.

Thank you for the bad news. I have no idea about this.😨 I guess even after they fully operate we will need to be waiting in a long line. 😵 Well, positive thinking, we have more time to complete DS160...

Scheduling your interview depends on the embassy and their instructions. Most times you complete the DS-160 once you have the case number, then pay the interview fee and next schedule the interview. Then onto the I-134 and DS-5540 that you will bring to the interview. Please see my post after this one.

People, I have given you a PDF file to follow and from the questions I am seeing posted no one is reading. I would like to help you but right now I feel that I have given many you help and I am tired of repeating myself when it is in the PDF file. Read it again and absorb the information and you will get through this without all the confusion and pulling out your hair. All of you whose case file has been shipped to your embassy read #17 and you will thank me that you did. Then look at the very top and see the "next steps". There is a very good reason to read that carefully as it contains a very important step (hint: ask Greenbaum).
