Also, @Greenbaum do you have a P3 for Juarez, Mexico?

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should also check in with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Juarez Mexico.

Get the Juarez K1 Embassy instructions at http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/K1/CDJ - Ciudad Juarez.pdf (Spanish) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cBWgGJr4a5ay3b4OV28_dC3pgf63ZUr-/view?usp=sharing (English) as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use this website as a checklist. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

Tracked my case number a few minutes ago and it says it’s In Transit! Noa2 was Feb 13. Any ideas how long til it’s Case Ready? I’m excited to reach the finish line.

Mine is in transit to Montreal too. But why does it say your interview date was provided to you by NVC????

As I have advised other, that is a blanket letter sent to all "immigrant" visa applicants. Since the K-1 is treated as a immigrant visa till such time as the visa is approved it will change over to non-immigrant. A K-1 is a different type of species. It's a non-immigrant visa treated with intent to immigrate. Confusing yes, but you just need to know to ignore that reference.

Every case is different. Every shipping process is different. Every record is handled differently by each embassy. Get my drift.

NO ONE can say with any certainty when something is going to happen. We can guess or give you what we see from others but we can never give you an exact date. Keep checking CEAC for updates.

Read, Read and Read the PDF file. I explain everything there so I don't have to repeat myself to hundreds who wish to ask that question but they go straight to the PDF as they remember that it was answered there.

I think there are more security checks done while at the embassy, so the answer is "it depends".

I noticed you are from Seattle also, and our applications are on the same shipment to Manila. Good luck!

Hi @Greenbaum please what date will the embassies start asking for 2019 w2?

They typically ask for tax transcripts rather than W2s and 1040s these days, but in any case they'll almost certainly want 2019 tax year information as of April 15, 2020.

Never got a NOA2 letter in mail, but our petition is approved and NVC has sent the case to HK consulate in Feb.

Just checked again and it shows that the case is "ready for interview". So I am filling DS-160 for my fiance now, the question is - for address intend to stay, do I have to put a confirmed destination, or I can just made it up?

We still haven't got an address in the U.S. since I have been residing in Hong Kong most of my life.

I only have a mailbox address in California but CA is not where we want to go.

Appreciate some advice, thank you.
